The venue is beautiful - Very elegant modern design. The food, wine and service was great! We also checked out the free gallery downstairs which really cool.

We did the wine tasting and didn’t have any food (We had just come from breakfast). The gentleman with decades of knowledge that hosted us for the tasting was so patient, knowledgeable and an absolute delight to be in the presence of. I never remember to get names.

I appreciate that he didn’t throw me out after admitting I say ‘cab sav’ as I struggle to say it correctly otherwise

The wines were amazing! I just want to win the lotto so I can come down and do tastings here weekly.

The venue is phenomenal! I’m sad we had already eaten and just looking over the grounds had me wanting to picnic and lay down with a book!

Definitely should be a service to consider. Creating picnic lunches for people to pick up and enjoy amongst the stunning property

I LOVE everything about the way the buildings are built/look. I could sit there and stare all day

We had a perfect day at Harriet enjoying quality wine and delicious charcuterie.
Tony warmly greeted and seated us.
We then met lovely Roland who helped us choose wines and foods to make our taste buds tingle to make us want to come back for more.

Dined in and the staff were clueless of what's happening. A pizza and wedges took 45 minutes after we followed it up. Macca's would be a better option. Seriously.
The prawns were shrimps and tasteless.thanks for the experience.

Today we had our lunch at HE, unfortunately they removed the grill octopus from their menu.
I ordered the Crispy pork pizza, but I got pork mince on my pizza instead of Crispy pork. The waygu burger is very juice and yummy

The hot coffee is good, but the ice coffee my daughter ordered came without ice cream, she remember that it said comes with ice cream on the menu.

Complete and total lack of actual service and extremely subpar food, in a very beautiful venue. We went here for my mother in law’s birthday and the only interaction the staff had with us was telling us what table to sit at. You are expected to order via a QR code and get your own cutlery, plates, water, etc. No one ever comes to clear any plates off the tables or ask how the food is. They won’t even verbally tell you the specials, you have to check on the QR code. They state these practices are due to COVID prevention measures but none of the staff are wearing masks or practicing any sort of other preventative measures- only ones that involve patrons doing self service. My sister ordered the red gum charred fish of the day which essentially looked like a filet of fish from Maccas with no breading and some grill marks, it was flat and square in shape- totally off putting. Absolutely no sides offered with her dish. My ribs came with a single potato the size of a golf ball. I asked for a cappuccino with full cream milk and the server who dropped it off stated it was prepared with almond milk. It was a very nicely made coffee but if I had an almond allergy it could have been a serious issue. Overall incredibly disappointing service and very high prices for very subpar meals.

Had lunch here at the weekend. It was very busy so I’m glad we booked. Ordering via the app was very quick and easy, but we were advised that if we preferred we could order inside. The food was really good, shared between us and everyone liked each dish. They had still and sparkling water available for the tables which you could help yourself too. There was a weekend surcharge which I’ve noticed is becoming a more regular addition these day, but I would still highly recommend this place and also recommend booking!

What a total surprise
Pulled in for a coffee and the toilet.
Ended up having the best pizza I've had in Australia.
Amazing architecture
Warm and relaxed atmosphere
Friendly staff
Super clean dinning area and kitchen.
A total credit to who ever developed this site.
Will recommend to anyone and now planning to return with friends

The place is beautiful, although the customer experience is average.
The automated ordering system steal the beauty of listening to an experience staff storytelling the menu.
I am quite amazed by the credit card surcharge being put on the customer - business go cashless however charge on top of an overpriced to the client bill the cost of doing business?

Great Atmosphere great service great food and drinks, the only thing that was disappointing was the restriction of time in the restaurant, to order have a drink eat entree, main and dessert and coffee,

Overall: 3.5/5

Quality: 4/5
Value: 3/5
Service: 2/5
Atmosphere: 5/5

Would I go back? Yes

This place has such a nice setting, and such a unique architecture for the cellar doors, a truly great space. The food in the restaurant is quite good, but nothing to write home about. The staff are nice, it's just everything is self serve for water, plates and cutlery which I always find annoying.
Overall a really fun afternoon.

We ordered:
A few wines
3 pizzas
4 starters
Soft serve desert (don't get this, it's like the seaside icecream vans, pretty bland, more for kids)

This place is interesting because the food is really nice, as well as the architecture and decor of the venue feels modern and inviting

They do all of the hard things right but skimp on the small detail. Such as having to self serve all cutlery, plates, water etc. Only allowing ordering through QR codes. Food comes out in all kinds of different order. Having a 50 dollar steak on the menu but no steak knives. A few little things that would make a huge difference.

I would come for a casual meal with all this in mind but if you're looking for a more thought out dining experience maybe elsewhere would be better

Great facility, nice architecture, photogenic. Quite crowded and commercial but still a solid spot for a gathering.

Firstly, I dont make a habit of writing reviews, I would usually speak directly to the Manager/Owner on the day but didn't have the opportunity too. Being a business owner in the Yarra Valley myself I would prefer face to face feed back than a review but in this instance I think my experience at St Huberts is honest and clearcut and warrants a mention, so here goes.

Amazing Building.
Very Clean inside and out.
Staff very friendly and accommodating
Dont like the self serve plates, cutlery, glasses, napkins etc
No brand or region of wine on list, just type, No Sav
No wine Glasses, looks like a glass coffee cup.
Wine came in a jug that looked like a juice jug
Warm milk from the Coffee machine with my tea, No No No
No set tables.
Pizza was outstanding.

To wrap it up, I think I had high exceptions for this winery, didn't expect a cafe. If youre going to charge $50 for a jug of wine then a proper wine glass would be nice, a region and a label would be helpful. $27 for a pizza, a plate, napkin and cutlery would be nice. The staff do a lot of walking around, they could be folding napkins and setting tables. This place could be so much better with a few tweaks to their job descriptions. Would I go back? , Yes if pizza was take away. Would I dine in, No. Please make some improvements because its a great venue.

Popped past for lunch after having a girls day spa treatment in the Yarra Valley and we all loved it. The food was great. The staff super friendly. I just wish I had a second stomach to have room for dessert.we will be back! The tasting room was lovely and the gallery gorgeous.

Came here for date night with my partner. Just the venue alone is stunning, but the service and the food was exceptional. All the waiters were so lovely, and even brought us out a free meal that the chefs accidentally made, which turned out to be our favourite meal of the night! (highly recommend the asparagus for anyone who visits). We will 100% be coming here again and I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking about visiting!

Food was good. However the air-conditioning was not enough, especially on the hottest day in the year. Unfortunately the pizza stove was down so we couldn’t try any pizzas.

If there was a possibility to give zero I would have given zero or negative. What a customer experience where honestly, felt not just disappointed but insulted. I hope the cellar realises that they need to lift up your game.

Drove from city all the way to Hubert Estate, and arrived at 2 pm. The restaurant said they are busy and next table will be available after 45 mins. Got the table at 3.05 pm and probably one of the worst services and food we had at cellar. Chicken wings way too salty, pizza base was great, but toppings were hopeless and we ordered fries, which came after we have finished our food which is funny. On asking, the reason provided is that we operate kitchen as different stations so food can come in any order and any time. Thank god, didn’t order dessert as we might get that before anything. Hopefully the restaurant quarters should and must understand basic methods of running this place and lift up their game, rather than providing silly answers thinking customers are idiots.

Well we thought after all this, hopefully wine tasting will lift our mood, so we head to cellar doors at 4.15 pm (remember we were here at 2 pm and restaurant took ages)

So after reaching cellar door, they said no more wine tasting as our staff is tried so we decided to close early. Wow what an excuse.
Now with all due respect, I understand that staff is tired, however, there are customers (who support and run your business by buying) and you just decided to close early. Nothing is mentioned on website that this can happen. Then the argument from manager is we should do that booking. Well as explained and now writing in this review, we did try to make the booking. Website was not allowing anything less than 10 people booking and on call, it was told it’s a walk-in with 5 pm closure. So cellar door manager, equally arrogant on what she believed was right, had leaving us nothing but one of the worst experience ever in any location on this planet.

After travelling to 34 countries, trying different distilleries and cellars in my life, let alone I never imagined that in my own country Australia and in my own state Victoria, there exists a cellar which has absolutely no regard for customers.

Hubert Team, you may become one day the best wine on this planet, but if you can’t host customers properly, good luck to your business and your wine. As I started my review; one of the worst and nothing now can change my view towards your cellar.

Not just disappointing, but felt we were insulted as our time was not respected; since we parked our car and walked into your estate. Good bye.

Added: need to mention one last point, that the audacity of the management staff to think they are right and customer just have to listen and agree was the most disgusting experience.

Response to update on 30-Jan-2023:
Thank you for your email to address the next steps for restaurant, but for wine bar; only response I got was it’s been forwarded. No response on resolution or next steps. Quite sad that you want customers to visit and buy, however, feedback is not responded and actioned to totality. Just shows the management and values cultivated by a business.
