Terrible communication. Provided them with all documents and they just didn’t lodge my tax return, no explanation as to why. Still trying to find out months later.

I experienced the worst customer service here and missed the tax deadline after they kept making appointments with me and never calling me at that time or within an hour of the set time or at all. I made a total of 5 appointments to do a simple personal tax year before the deadline by ATO and 2 weeks late I was told they will promise to call me
the next time we set and that time I didn’t even get a call at all, not even at their average two hours after our set time! I’ve sent them everything they need and now I cannot even do it myself as ATO deadline to submit individually is passed. I was trying to save time getting them to do it but I’ve spent more timing constantly calling and emailing them as to why they haven’t called or sent me anything.very very stressful experience. I know they are busy but so am I! And when I take a total of 4 hours off work to have appointments with them each time they don’t call and they set a new time, only after I call them, it’s actually cost me more time and money then I would have spent doing it myself. Then when I complained, she said “i did call you but you didn’t answer” - yes correct, the 4th time they missed our appointment, she called me at 7.40pm on a Friday night, after I called and emailed about my appointment they called me for scheduled at 2pm I took time off work to have. Which I missed the call late Friday as it was 5 hrs late and I was getting my kids to bed. I still haven’t submitted my tax and have I no idea what to do now. I do not recommend!

The experience in dealing with this branch has been nothing but disappointing.

Since engaging this branch on September 30 and discussing matters with my nominated agent, I have received zero correspondence, despite three separate attempts to establish what is happening.

Initially called the branch and was answered by a contact centre agent who advised that a staff member would return my call by close of business Monday (still waiting).

A follow up was made with their social media team on Wednesday, who advised they will escalate the matter (still waiting).

Third attempt to contact the agency today as well as the nominated agent, and again no response.

Would NOT recommend using this branch, or any other H&R Block given the poor communication alone. If this is the standard of service they provide, imagine how they handle your tax affairs.

I have been to Neville for the past four years. I must say he is very thorough and he’s always got me a tax refund which I never got from the previous tax agents. Not only he is very responsive to your questions, he does that with a smile and professional behaviour.
For him no questions are small or no problems are big, he does not only resolves them but explain them with truck loads of patience.

I saw Kurtis Campbell to do my tax. He was professional, friendly and efficient. I got back a great return in no time at all. Would highly recommend.

Professional service. Courteous and respectful towards my many questions. Reliable service and gets things done. Very flexible with timing of meetings. Would recommend to friends and family.

It's hard to do it worse. I would not recommend this company even to my worst enemy. If you want to save yourself troubles, find another tax agent, and stay away from this company.

Really unprofessional. I started my tax return process in September of last year and it has taken until May of this year to solve it (8 months).

If I go to a tax agent it is because I want them to solve the problem for me as soon as possible, but instead, I have met people who do not know how to do their job, do not know how to give clear directions on the steps to follow or information that is needed to complete the process.

Excuses are their method of delaying your work and asking for forgiveness instead of taking responsibility, accept the mistakes and acting, and solving the problem. My agent told me that he had another job and that he was very busy doing work after-hours.in the end I have been in contact working with 3 people in this company and they are all equally incompetent.

Very expensive, 170 AUD for a simple tax return, which took 8 months to finalize it.

Customer service is lousy, they say they call you or send you the information, but weeks go by and they don't answer.taking a long time to respond.

My advice to save you from misfortune and save yourself anger and helplessness is not to approach even these people

Neville is very knowledgeable about the legalities and requirements for servicing my small business needs, helping to provide more structure and help boost efficiency. Not only he is very responsive to your questions, he does that with a smile and professional behaviour.
For him no questions are small or no problems are big, he does not resolves them but explain them to avoid for future.
He has help us in setting up our business tax obligations and I'm looking forward to building a more sustainable business plan with his advice.

Did my tax return at the East Brunswick office with Neville and I must say, the customer service was excellent and my tax return was completed in under 30 mins and my return is in no way a simple one considering that I have a business as well as salary and wages income. My sincerest thanks to the courteous and patient staff at this office. Thank you! I will see you next year.

Steven Baccini has always made doing my tax return a very simple and easy process. He is very professional and has a good understanding of the taxation laws. Thanks for your great service Steven.

Shocked at how unprofessional the service was. From the get go I was not filled with confidence with the individual undertaking my tax return. He did not seem knowledgeable. I looked up and the individual and they are not even a registered tax agent. Thats what you get under 'Tax Consultant'. They also charged upfront for a service they did not provide. In the end I did it myself and ended up receiving a small amount of money back rather than owing the tax man. Avoid.

Worst imaginable experience.

The agent doing my work was inexperienced and not provided proper support. Very difficult to work out what documentation was needed (I don't now these things, that's why I go to an agent). After a month of back and forth they decided they needed even more documentation (which they could have advised me of at the start) and it had to be sent to head office for review before lodgement? I lost it and pulled my business. A month down the drain and I still don't even know if I'm going to get a return.

The people were great: friendly, welcoming and courteous. They made the entire experience of lodging my return a breeze. Was glad to pay their fees as they did the right thing by me to get me the best return possible.
