My partner and I purchased our first home through the bank and used David Symons as our conveyancer he was prompt and ran through everything really smoothly, there was no hidden costs nothing that we weren’t expecting. David explained all the processes, for first homebuyers it can be quite daunting but he made the whole experience very easy, I highly recommend HQ law (David Symons) and the team. All-round great experience.

This company completely utterly disgraceful and ridiculous. It was my very first time using Private Lawyers however I was seriously disappointed disgusting about their service. They charge me a lot hidden charges when I ask them to refund me they charge me for email them and call them, all calls before applying anything through them just the enquiry calls. Really poor service. Never recommend to anyone. By any chance I would give them a Zero star.

Was lucky enough to of dealt with the likes of David Symons who made it really easy to understand the process, being a young first home buyer. He sat me down and went through it all with me every step of the way and was always quick to respond when I had any queries. A very happy client!

Found this company completely and utterly disgraceful. Yes it was my very first time using Private Lawyers however I was seriously disappointed.

Criminal side of the situation (IVO related) made me plead Guilty as this was the only option available (even though I wasn't guilty) however they did manage to negotiate with VIC POLICE to drop their ridiculous charges so suppose that's one positive.

Family Law side was beyond a joke.

As a paying client I was very unhappy with the service.

Solicitor I hired originally went on leave 1 week after proceedings began without informing me of his intention nor change in representative.

New Solicitor was rude and arrogant, even hung up the telephone in my ear! I struggled to understand elements of the legal process and found the whole experience with HQ Law difficult.

Would not use them again or recommend this law form

Craig and Casey were highly professional and efficient as the conveyancer's of our first home purchase. They were patient with our busy schedule and the short settlement period, while being quick to act when we were rushing to get elements signed.

Were told to go with them to help us with the purchase of our first home.

On the phone they sound like they listen and care. That’s only a facade.
We received the contract of sale and it had nothing we asked for. We asked for special clauses to protect ourselves and were told “yes of course” on the phone. But the contract came back signed by the other party without those clauses.
The dates put On the contract would have caused us prejudice if we signed. It would have us tied up in an unconditional contract of sale (gave us only 14 days to get approved for finance. And without a signed contract you cannot get a full loan approval. Also which bank only takes 2 weeks these days? !).

Read your contract, and do not sign anything you are not happy with. Go with someone else if it doesn’t suit you.

They do not care so if we you can Avoid them!
