Fantastic, best BBQ we have had since leaving US. The whole family was impressed and ate everything - we will definitely be back 10+

Found them online searching for some new eateries. Glad i did. Great service and even better food.
Everything we ordered came in a timely manner and was so delicious.

Solid servings. Brisket was so tender but I was hoping for more smoky flavour. Yum pulled pork. The sausages had most smoky flavour but perhaps needed more time to tenderise more. That chip salt is gold. Wild and whacky collection of packed hot sauces on the shelf to take home too. It gets busy at lunch so be prepared for takeaway.

Heaps of ppl have recommended this place… unfortunately it was the standard for American bbq in Aus. Neither good, nor bad. Ppl in the reviews make comparison to BBQ in the US, and they’re absolutely incorrect. This place is a decent attempt though.

Response to owner’s reply. Yeah, that’s a fair assessment. Everyone has their 2c in on what’s good. Totally get you. And I guess I’m not the expert here… I’ll just leave this video of the dry brisket I had…

The Brisket was nice but the price for 100g of meat was way to expensive. 200g of brisket and 1 Sausage $26. The access in Slater Pde, Keilor east is far from convenient and atmosphere was dull and not inviting.

Got takeaway here, make sure to preorder as food sells out fast! My favourites were the pork ribs and beef brisket. The chicken drumlets were a bit dry. Huge variety of hot sauces available to pair with your meats. Limited seating and plenty off street parking. We'll definitely be back here.

Amazing quality and taste.
Brisket, fried chicken, pulled pork and ribs are perfection. The pickle accompaniments are proper good too.

If I ate this with my eyes shut I’d tell you I’m in Texas. BBQ cooked to perfection. So much care and pride put into this cooking. All of the sides are amazing. Wish this was open everyday!

This is excellent Texas BBQ. I lived in Austin TX for 6 years, and have been to Franklins, etc and this is authentic stuff

Great value for money, some of the best bbq in melbourne or maybe even Australia. Im a not always quick to compliment meat here but this is amazing!

Never had this kind of BBQ before but enjoyed it, it's a shame it's a bit out of the way though. I would definately recommend eating there as things can get a bit messy by the time you get home. The pricing can be a bit confusing if you've never been before but the staff were really helpful and explained everything clearly and told me how I could save money by combining items into packs instead of getting them individually which was really appreciated. I think the value is actually way better than what I was expecting. Ended up getting a great range of meat and extras for a bit over $50 and we couldn't finish it in one go.

Best American style bbq I’ve ever had, travelled 2 hours to come have a taste and did it deliver! Pork ribs, beef rib, brisket all full of flavour and moist falling off the bone. Easy and organised ordering also thanks all, we will be coming again soon ️ ** more seating available to sit and eat would be amazing

Iv been really looking forward to eating here ever since hearing about it so my review is fair and accurate reflection of my dining experience. The brisket and pork we ordered was a little on the dry side. The fried chicken was definitely the best thing we ate. The sides were OK but that corn cream needs to go.
When we were there the eftpos machine was down and the queue was backed up its not Houstons Barbecue fault but a timely reminder to pack a little cash with you

This place would be 5 stars, if they stuck to there opening hours, and the menu keeps changing fells very unpredictable, please stableize you opening hours you've lost by business. Not for the excellent food but 3 time I've drove out there 3 in the past and you wearnt open. The reply so you saying you'll never open thurdays. Everyone at our work would disagree we were getting it for a long time.

We love it here, haven’t visited yet with the new changes to ordering system but as long as bbq the same our rating is still the same. Everything about the bbq was great. First time we tried smoked bbq and incredible. Even better than we had anticipated.

Was taken here by a friend a hand full of times.
In between each time, I think about the food and dream about the desserts.
Recommend going on an empty stomach. You’ll want to try everything, and end up doing so.

Fantastic experience. The food was marvellous with a great spread of Mains, Sides and Desserts. I had the beef brisket and pork ribs which were superb! The order process was organised and well managed. The staff were friendly and attentive. Clearly this is a business run by people who love what they do and the food they prepare. Definitely recommend for lovers of American style BBQ.

Cost me 30 bucks for a couple slices of meat. Nice and juicy brisket but couldn’t believe the serving sizes for the price. Go elsewhere if you don’t want to leave hungry or be prepared to bring some serious cash with you.
