Too be honest getting off the streets into housing was great but somewhere along the progress of housing manager changes repairs that are considered urgent weren't fixed and prolonged or totally left unattended. Reply is usually that this is transitional housing and Department of housing needs to approved repairs. Once middle of winter.no hot water system for 11 days and ombudsman was contacted which excelerated repairs that same day. Now since moving in 3 years ago and never missing a rent payment with very high cleanliness and order, no new carpets on initial move.no replacement of carpets that are still the same and permanently stained before my tenancy. Security door buzzer for whole of apartment block now not functioning for over 3 months and no security priority as tenants rights. Grant Leech and Laura Pask which are considered my housing officers visited and took photos off hole under bathroom sink in piping, still not fixed, they also took photos of carpet and said it was my issue to clean, they insisted the security door would be fixed and no attendance, number to ring on maintenance call in card when out for study, no answer. No official inspection registered or attended by Tennant and housing manager. However after earth quake last year tiles were falling off kitchen wall, so nail glue by repair man sent by housing choices was used with messy job done. Antenna now 2 months not connecting to very new Smart TV and no signal. Another exported issue not attended. Yet an annual yearly rent review is pushed as urgent. Once again currently over 3 years and 6 months of residency here and Disability support pension only.studying to upgrade skills. Not much I can do to move myself or afford other housing as Launch housing officer who visits had done no advocacy or resulted help in the maintenance of this place. Please be aware if you are genuinely trying to find affordable housing.

I just want to get a shout out to Lorraine - Who I have been dealing with for the last five years who works Reception at Housing Choices. I just spoke to her again this morning and discovered that she had actually retired, but was back for a brief appearance as the new receptionist was on maternity leave. Lorraine has always been so incredibly compassionate, kind and professional. When she leaves again - Lorraine will be missed by the hundreds of tenants that she has no doubt helped as beautifully as she has helped me. I also want to thank Housing Choices for being such an incredible Service to so many. Another shout out to Malenko, and Paul: a big thank you for your service over the last five years. Housing Choices really do go above and beyond in looking after your tenants. I will be forever grateful.

Ive been renting through them for over 2 years now. Unfortunately my circumstances in life changed dramatically and i was in a tough spot. Housing choices have helped me and my family get on our feet. Thank you housing choices

This review is not a "fabrication" as someone wondered previously.

My experience with this month has been great. I've had some challenges with a couple of employees, but that is normal within a large organization. I have secure housing due to them.

Bloody awesome people, excellent organisation, thankful for all they do.

Their work is quiet and constant, and they do a brilliant job housing people of all backgrounds and incomes in all areas.
