Hoppers Crossing Floorworld

Okay first the good stuff.
The previous owners stuffed up the quote for the whole house but the new owners covered the cost.

Now the bad.
The Concrete who levelled the floor mixed the concrete inside the house which left concrete dust all over the house, he said would be okay in 4 hours, we got into the house 14 hours later, he also splattered wet concrete on the walls and doors which were just painted.

The Tile layers cut the tiles inside the house, left bits of tile stuck on the walls and ceiling as well as the rest of the house.

We got a scratch on the tiles and was told it would be a minimum of $400 to replace the tiles using the 5 spare boxes of tiles we had left over.but if we got someone else it would negate the warranty.

Dealing with Floorworld (both its franchised store and head office) was a nightmare and fraudulent. I paid them $7000 for installing the new laminate flooring provided by their supplier and installed by their Hopper Crossing store, but ended up with SERIOUS floor expansion issue and many other installation defects due to their poorly skilled team. WATCH OUT, all the paper warranty they promised to their customers could be just a BLANK cheque based on my terrible experience after wasting 1.5 years dealing with various of their staff with the hope that someone could be responsible to get those reported floor issues fixed within the warranty.

I naively thought their management team including their headquarters would have done something for me because the floor issues occurred only 2 months after initial installation back in mid 2021, and the floor product is still under 10-15 year warranty plus 18 months installation warranty; On the contrary, they eventually choose to run away from their responsiblity, kicking their customer like a ball between head office and current/previous store owner. Just because the previous store owner claimed to be bankrupt with his business, under the same branding of Hopper Crossing Floorworld even the same salesman, they are not willing to either fix the issues or financially compensate my loss because none of them really put their customers first. Their so-called warranty is a total rubbish, if the store ownership changed under the same franchise, existing customers wont get protected. It happened to me so could happen to you!

Given the above of my true experience, it's strongly recommended to stay away from this company and every store under its franchise because the root company is poorly managed - Throughout the whole process, I didn't get the slightest sense that they cared about their reputation in the industry.

Brought carpet tiles and glue through floor world because I couldn’t buy directly through wholesaler. Could’ve got tiles for $25 sqm and they marked them up double to $50 sqm then gave me the wrong glue for tiles.
I told floorworld my measurements over the phone and I was left over with 2 boxes excess (not opened) and they wouldn’t take them back. Don’t use these crooks.

Don't know how this company functions. They were supposed to call me and not just randomly show up at my door when I'm not home.

We had all new flooring installed throughout our new home from Floorworld in Hoppers Crossing. Hybrid flooring and wool carpets in the bedrooms. From the initial stage of the quote, Ben was great to deal with. He gave us plenty of options and suggestions and was excellent to deal with. Jack and his crew were amazing with the installation of the floorboards. They removed all skirting boards and refitted, which was a huge task in our period home. The results are amazing. And the beautiful wool carpets are absolutely wonderful too.

I would highly recommend them to anyone. The quality of their workmanship is amazing. I will definitely be using them again for future projects

I have been extremely impressed with Anthony the manager of the Hoppers Crossing Floorworld, not only was he prompt but also very professional in his manner. The pricing was to suit our budget as was his help to select the colour of the Hybrid to replace the old carpet so I thank him gratefully.
I was also very impressed with Nam the tradesman.he was here all day doing such a professional job, he actually did a perfect job accolades to Nam.

Ben provided a very good quote to deliver and lay approx 80m2 of quick step /Clix laminate flooring (recycled hardwood) to replace old worn laminate with an ugly red tinge. The quality of the work of the two installers was very high, with close attention to match the scotia and to cut away old laminate which we were unable to remove ourselves, leaving us extremely happy with the end result. A massive difference from the old flooring.

Having check other flooring companies in the area we decided to go with Floorworld Hoppers Crossing for carpet and laminate in our newly built home. My wife and I was so glad that we did as the finished work was perfect. From the start we were impress with the large variety of flooring options available in their showroom. Marie was very friendly and given us many tips to choose our floor. We would have gone through 20 or so samples. She was very patient and always served with a smile.
Ben who came to measure was very professsional and a pleasure to deal with. He answered all the queries we had and worked with our builder so that the installation went smoothly once we took possesion of our home. The installation team that worked on our home did an exceptional job. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy with the dinish work. Upon completion they also vacuumed and mopped the dloor ready for us to move in. Our new home looks fantastic and we could not be happier with the service given to us. We highly recommend Floorworld Hoppers Crossing if you are in the market for new flooring.

First impression is paramount! The moment I walked into Floorworld and was greeted by Ben, he provided great, friendly service, he was just terrific and patient explaining everything. 10/10!
So.when the day came to install my new carpets, I was so impressed again with Anthony and his two installers.they were so efficient, polite, respectful, tidy and worked non stop without a break! Wow.what an amazing team at Floorworld, Hoppers Crossing, thank you Ben and his Men for the best experience I have had in years.not to forget Marie who was at first instant quick to reply and communicate with me with emails etc. Lovely people!

Floorworld's installation of our floorboards was second to none. They're an extremely hard-working team who are punctual, reliable, pay great attention to detail and are very friendly and easy to deal with. At our request, they even re-arranged their schedule so that they could do the installation a few days earlier than originally planned. Absolutely would recommend Floorworld Hoppers Crossing.

Very dissatisfied with the carpet laying. Many attempts to fix the problems. You pay up front before carpet is installed. I should have been firmer from the beginning instead of compromising. Do not use this mob. We got loop pile wool carpet and you can see joins. When I pointed out the joins he said "To me it looks okay". Thats the standard he upholds? The guy who layed the carpet on the stairs didnt have a clue how to lay the carpet. Never again. They must have ripped the carpet and put an obvious patch in and didnt tell me. Dishonest. Carpet folded from riser to tread and on other stairs there was a join from the riser to the tread. Inconsistencies +. Obvious nails present. I should have asked for a refund from the start. Im too trusting. We are now tearing up the carpet as we cant stand to look at it. I will never recommend this store to anyone. I admit they attempted to fix some problems but when you as a consumer have to tell a carpet layer how to lay the carpet with the nape going the right way and pay for it. Shonky.

Marie & the team were amazing from when stepped into the shop, the customer service is amazing they worked around us. Marie looked after us in price helped us all the way though the process of choosing floor boards to getting them installed, no questions / emails went unanswered. The Floor boards look amazing they completed our house in day even the guys that installed were very helpful, don't go anywhere else you wont be disappoint.
