Hope St Radio reviews
37Very fun and has a good vibe. Good music too. We sat on the table right next to the DJ, it was a little bit hard to have a conversation. Anyway the guy who was helping our table was so Thank you for the recommendations of the wines and food
Great location, decor, wines and cocktails. However, the service was disappointing. The person who served us behind the bar acted like we were beneath them/ not cool enough to be in their presence. They were on their phone majority of the time. Such a shame, as I would come back again if I felt more welcome.
Such a great place! Amazing food, amazing wine list and music! Love the concept with live radio dj sets. The food was great, especially that chunky focaccia bread and seafood. Everything is designed for grazing and then a few pastas. Would come back for the oysters and that bread. Had an orange wine, which was divine. The atmosphere was also amazing and the service was attentive without being too much. Just right!
Great food and vibe.
We were running late for our booking due to a delayed flight but Alex called twice to check in on us and even texted through a menu so we could get our order in promptly without rushing. Very helpful and much appreciated.
Have been here a few times now and never disappointed. Incredible wine list!
Also great to sit outside for a wine. Get in early though as winds down from 11pm sharp
I think this is a place for a really specific mood/time - boozy times with friends, or having a wine and some food outside.
We were seated right near the DJ decks so it was a bit too loud for us to fully enjoy ourselves, but the food, wine and lovely staff more than made up for it.
The small penne with spring lamb is amazing and the wines are beautiful. We just probably felt a bit too old for the place
P.s.: really love how Ellie approached the ingredients and the menu.
Would call this place an upscale Retreat. Great if you want a wine in their outdoor area but don’t go indoors.
The vibe is all wrong with a DJ and crayon walls - not a wine bar! And the food is terrible. $18 for very bland crudités.
Such an awesome venue that I think really defines and encapsulates all the best part of Melbourne!
Hope St Radio has an amazing wine list with a lot of everything for everyone! I almost wish I tried more! The food menu is small but by no means underwhelming, all the food we tried was delicious and we left very satisfied.
The vibe was also very cool and again very Melbourne, with a live DJ playing and a really friendly atmosphere. I would recommend to all Melbournians and visitors to Melbourne! You will not be disappointed. 5/5
Had such a lovely time at Hope St Radio - beautiful yummy food and great wine list. Really warm staff too. Top notch!
Genuinely so disappointed to have to write this but we had such a average dining experience here. Really uninterested and unknowledgeable staff, we were told by one waitress they only had chilled reds (which was not the case), and by another they didn't have dark beer (to then also find out this was not the case).
The food was also really average, we so wanted to love it but the vegetarian options were limited and underwhelming. The wait staff were way too trendy for their own good, and didn't bother to ask why we barely ate two of the dishes.
Cool place to come for a wine by the fire, but so many more options out there for good food and warm, attentive and knowledgeable service.
The food was really underwhelming, and the dishes were quite small for the price. I had the tagliatelle and it reminded me of a bland chicken soup. Really nice venue though, and would be a great to grab a wine and relax there after work.
This pasta bar is like a beautiful burrata, the arts precinct is the stringy sphere it sits within, the court yard is the thicker curds that roam around and the wine list is the liquidy goodness sitting in the middle waiting for one perfect foccacia to be dipped inside.
My favourite place in Melbourne without a doubt; beautiful venue, beyond delicious food and the staff are so incredibly lovely! It’s an absolute hidden gem that I’m so grateful for
Amazing atmosphere and delicious food. Super down to earth and welcoming staff. My favourite place for a wild Saturday night or a chill Sunday wine!
Great new Melbourne favourite! Good music, people and feel oh and food was out of this world! Seriously good. A very tasty time. Thanks hopestreet!
Great new addition to Collingwood with a fantastic wine bar and djs to set the mood. First time I ate there was not a disappointment, service was immaculate and the pasta by head chef Ellie Bouhadana was amazing. My only disappointment was my serving of casunzei all’ampezzana was significantly smaller then my mates tagliatelle but perfection otherwise. P. S don’t make the same mistake I did and add truffle without knowing the price (it’s $15 extra) or it ends up being very expensive. Can’t wait for summer this place is going to go off
The holy trinity; tasty beats, tasty food and tasty wine, in the heat of buzzzzzing arts précinct. Looks like we’ve got a HUB on our hands my friends! Get there before it’s packed out by the Hollywood elite!
The name says it all. Hope St Radio has actually made Melbourne the place to be. Melbourne is a more liveable and exciting city after the paving of Hope St. This is the only "Street" I frequent and enjoy. Hope St inspires my enthusiasm and taste-buds. Good food, grog, music, staff and community. Five star energy every time.
