Hong Kong Best Food Mount Waverley reviews
21Small authentic Hong Kong style cafe located on the busy junction of Blackburn Road and High Street of Mount Waverley. Inexpensive and scrumptious meals for families. Ordered the seasonal special set, Stir Fried BBQ Pork with Egg on Rice. Nicely presented and well seasoned.
Cool environment, it reminds me back in the old days when I was in Hong Kong, food is good. I would come again
Went for breakfast. The food deteriorated so much compared to our previous visit. We ordered 2 breakfast set. One of them is beef steak, eggs and bread. The beef steak is just tiny piece of beef. As for the lean pork and century eggs porridge, it’s taste so bad and watery. Worst porridge I have tasted so far. The pork is not lean but fatty piece of meat. To make things worst, coffee is equally bad.
Food quality goes down a lot recently.
Mapo tofu rice is basically just rice with tofu and sauce. Hardly any meat at all, completely different from the picture.
XO Fried rice is also not that appealing.
Portion is very big though.
Atmosphere is nice.
It's really a shame that food quality is low.
Unlikely to return.
Extremely let down from this restaurant… looked up the reviews and all was ok… the food we ordered was the Baked rice with chicken and the tomato soup.
The baked rice wasn’t even cooked right, looked it the chef slapped some cheese and egg on top of the rice then transferred it into the microwave. The soup was just tasteless no flavour. I do not recommended at all.
Amazing pineapple bun! I also like their steamed chicken feet. We ordered a breakfast set and the macaroni soup was wholesome and tasted like home. The pork chop was alright, a bit dry and tough. Nice lemon tea. Quick service and authentic decorations.
Great food. Wide variety of options for order. We loved the place. Become our take away preferred place number one!
So many options there and definitely worth trying. I would go again next time to try out other dishes.
I love this cafe. Most of the dishes are things that I ate when I was a child in Hong Kong. Great service there. Plus the owner redecked the interior, to give in a cinema feeling. I like the tea n coffee comb drink. Just like what we used to drink in Hong Kong. Try the lunch and afternoon tea sets, you will be surprised about the great value on offer.
Food is not bad. Menu is a bit all over the place, a typical Hong Kong style cafe. A bit confusing for me at the first few visits. I'm used to it now.
A great variety of food on the menu. From sweet to savoury - including tong shui. Portions aren’t great though - I ordered a chicken fillet and egg rice. The size of the chicken fillet was half of my palm. There was plenty of soy sauce and rice though. Paid $16 for that. Stick to their signatures
If you're looking for some comfort food, this Hong Kong eatery is the place to go. The chicken with sweetcorn sauce and rice was great. The rice was so lightweight and glazed, pairing so well with the sauce that was lightly toasted for thelat charred taste. The waffles were okay - a little too soft for my liking but the flavour was well balanced. The icecream remained solid throughout as it was sitting on a bed of ice
I had the most delightful Crispy Pork chop rice and it comes with non greasy yet tastiest fried rice, every morsel so good, it’s a real yummy lunch, serving size is a plus and price point is fair. Most people come with families for Brekky but the real slice of Hong Kong is at this joint not leaving without yinyong (half tea half coffee). I’m coming back! I found out there is parking at the back.
Great HK diner food. The baked rice with cheese and truffle is a real highlight and it's as authentic as it gets!
Horrible service! Very disappointed! Please guys don’t be fool by all that reviews! The guy with black hair n glasses on, he doesn’t know how to serve the customer, messy, not communicated. They even threw the plates to our table. This is unacceptable!
Worst HK tea house I’ve ever been… pork chop probably has been fried twice - rubbery texture and bitterly salty, soaked in source that had no other taste but sour. Terrible food which eventually gave me stomach cramps. Honestly don’t know how they can run a business like this. Absolutely not recommended.
It's a very good phone repair shop. I had a iPhone XS for LCD replacement. I m very happy for the job they did. Excellent service.
Delicious Hong Kong cuisine.
Congee was subtle but tasty, sandwhich was good. Creamy Mushroom soup was not to my favour.
Must ty the Hong Kong milk tea, strong tea flavor!
The old style or hk style like cafe? It has old fashioned style interior and exterior. In general, it is nice and flavoured food there but there is not much customer service but hk style. There are variety of food choices there and there are so many set menu choices too. However there are are better looking and tasty HK cafe in the area.
Very bad experiences! Especially the staff with tatoo on his elbow. We have been advised to sit down by one of the waitress, the tatto guy suddenly came out and showing his friends to our seat.
