Incredibly tasty food that is consistently good each time we have gotten food here, most of our table got the platter for two, a couple of people got burgers and a Parma. Everyone said their dish was tasty and well cooked. The variety on the platter for two was fantastic, with a range of flavours from spicy sausage, smokey Chipotle sauce to creamy Mac n cheese and corn bread. The food was so yummy and the portion sizes were huge. Almost everyone left some food on their plate and we were offered boxes to take leftovers home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a lovely dining experience. Thankyou.

Walked in at 7.56 on Saturday and First thing we were told was that they close at 9 which was odd, during our meal the host started stacking tables and chairs up he had brought from inside, our being there felt like an inconvenience to him. The food was good, but lacking in sauce (small pot of BBQ for a platter of food)
The sides lacked seasoning, probably would not visit again.

I spent $160 for my partners birthday on a food delivery. The pork ribs were bland and dry, the accompaniments were not much better, we couldn't even finish the meal. So disappointed.for that price I could of cooked a feast of ribs myself way better.

Lovely local restaurant. We tried the platter for two since it's our first time there.

Food portion was good. The fried chicken was crispy and freshly cooked, however the crust was a little hard to chew. Pulled pork tasted freezer burn. Beef brisket was flavoursome, however was dry. Sausage was ok. Love the bbq sauce given for dipping.

For sides, the mac and cheese was disappointing for me. It was dry and the inside was cold, just the top where the cheese was melted was hot. Corn bread was very dry and hard. It was inedible. We looked over at the table next to us and noticed that they didn't eat their corn bread too. But I enjoyed the chilli beans a lot. Herb potato was ok. Would love a little more coleslaw to go with the platter.

Overall, it's average. We were a little disappointed as we have read great reviews that's why we decided to try.

Where do I begin.

Brisket was cold. Chicken was dry to the point it was stringy and very very hard. The Mac and cheese had no cheese through it, Just on top.
The chilli beans was a can of 4 Beans from Coles dumped into a bowl with sauce on top. They didn’t even take out the preservative juice from the can out of the beans (slimey). Pork was dryyyyy for days. Corn bread was old and just disintegrated, like Thanos had snapped them from existence.

Waiters were very nice. But for the food don’t waste your time. Expensive for nothing.

Good size portions but the BBQ skills are lacking compared to other places around town. The prices are a little too high for the level of quality.

Visited Holy Smoke tonight with some friends and shared the platter for four. Absolutely did not disappoint. Everything on that platter was amazing and the perfect amount for four adults. I could rave about each item individually but it’s best you go and try it yourself.

Wonderful food and great value. We got the platter for two, we couldn’t finish it all as there was so much food and took the rest home. Great flavours and all the meats are so tender. The brisket is delicious and just falls apart. We’ve ordered catering from here as well, which was also amazing. This place is a hidden gem in Ferntree Gully, I recommend it to everyone.

Firstly the pricing is about 30% too high even if this was good quality. Secondly, the meal was served cold, dry, stringy, flavourless and difficult to eat. Thirdly, the dish contained only about 50% of the protein content that anyone would hope for, instead, already small portion size was mostly dry carbs. Hardly American Style Smoked Barbecue.

Excellent food, great service, friendly staff. We went as a group of 7 and ordered the 4 person platter, some sides and some other dishes. Only worked out to be $50 per head and we couldn't finish all the food. They also let you BYO your own alcohol with no corkage fee. If you've been passing by this place on the highway i suggest you check it out if your looking for quality smoked meats. The cornbread was also delicious.

I've had many briskes in the past and this by far is one of the best! Great service and highly recommend!

Perfect spot to refuel after the 1000 steps! This restaurant is a hidden gem and has the best brisket in the southern hemisphere. The owners are absolutely lovely and accommodating. Couldn’t recommend any more! Only giving 5 stars because that’s all there is to give.

We went out with some Friends and had a platter for 4 people. We all loved it. It was so delicious however we couldn’t finish it all because we were comfortably full. We walked in and got a table quickly. The service was great. I would highly recommend it if you want local, lovely food.

Would highly recommend giving this place a visit or several. I have tried BBQ all over Texas, and found it almost impossible to find a good BBQ place back in Melbourne. Thankfully, this place is hands down incredible. The food is sweetly flavoured and absolutely beautiful. Am recommending to anyone looking for a great American BBQ meal.
