My daughters joined HR when they were in Years 4 & 1, and their transition was effortless, as the children and teachers were very welcoming; inclusivity and acceptance is such HR style!
This school provides excellent delivery of the curriculum, and is tailored to meet the learning styles and needs of the children. Interventions are always implemented promptly. The reading recovery program is only one example of learning support offered.
Communication from teachers is regular and the weekly school newsletter keeps parents informed of the topics taught each week across the different year levels.
The school has an outstanding Science Program and provides the student opportunities to participate in initiatives such as the HR Science Fair and State Science Talent Search. It is mind-blowing to see the enthusiasm and contribution of the children, in this domain.
HR also offers an excellent music program, with children afforded opportunities to play instruments eg drums and ukelele; Also, to join the school choir and band!
The Art program is innovative and the introduction to children of different techniques and forms of art is incredible.
Additionally, the children are fortunate enough to be offered Japanese as a language to learn, and they are enthused by the culture.
The sport program is also amazing, and HR often collaborates with external sports professionals to provide clinics to the school.
Finally, and fundamentally important are the wonderful staff at HR! The teachers are very engaging of the students and connections are developed. The leadership team is indeed committed to drive many initiatives across the school, to ensure cohesion, safety and positive educational outcomes.
HR is in a league of its' own. Thank you HR for all you do to nurture and support our children's' self-growth and learning.
