I arrived at the emergency department today suffering dangerously high heart pulpatations. The only thing important was getting me to agree to their fee. This was actually an emergency and after 10 minutes with no one else waiting I was not acknowledged at all. Sadly I’ve had a lot of hospital experience and this was by far the WORST. I left and went to Sandringham where I was seen to almost immediately because let’s face it, heart problems is urgent. DO NOT GO THERE THEY ARE USELESS

Presented with partner who was nauseous and strong migraines. Triage nurse interviewed but did not take blood pressure. Two subsequent arrivals who were chatty and walking were interviewed, blood pressure taken, seated, and then both called in. Whilst my partner was curled up and obviously struggling. Asked for refund, returned home, called ambulance.

Wish I can rate less than Zero! My father was in critical condition due to infection with no private insurance. Because this hospital was the nearest one we went in and his temperature was above 39. Asked me to deposit 100,000 to start the treatment. What a joke!

Waited 3.5hrs in ED for the doc to come to me and say, sorry I thought the nurses told me you had already left. Thanks for charging me for the privilege of pointlessly waiting.

I have used this emergency department three times and highly recommend it. Twice for myself, and once for a family member. The first time, I was taken by ambulance to a public hospital emergency department with pre-sepsis, but self discharged to go to Holmesglen Private after four hours of inadequate care. The $320 fee was totally worth it - swift, clean, professional, resourced, calm and safe. On both occasions, we received excellent care and left with sepsis symptoms vastly reduced. Staff are lovely. Last time, I was admitted and given excellent care on the ward. Thank you, Dr Sam Kaldas and staff.

If I could give zero stars I would be lucky for this place I can’t. Easily The worst hospital I have ever visited, some of the most terrible & shocking service I have ever experienced in an emergency department, I had to wait for over 3 hours for someone to have a 5 minute look at my broken finger which also costed me $300, definitely would not recommend and won’t be coming back.

Fast, efficient and felt like a person - not a number. Very caring staff that treated me will in the ER, and just as easy when going back for scans the next day. I've also had an operation here in the past and appreciate both the modern facilities, and again, caring, happy staff.

A side note on someone else's review - Remember we are all people, and we all have emotions that fluctuate, so just because someone might be having a 'bad day' and not be as happy to help you, doesn't make them a bad person. Treat others as you want to be treated, and they will treat you that way in return.

Great ED. Came for a laceration on a Sunday afternoon. Excellent, efficient treatment and everyone was very kind.

Visited yesterday because I was having terrible pain due to my abscess but your reception was very unprofessional especially nurse Theresa who was so rude and almost yelled at me and made me feel uncomfortable. We do not come there for fun but out of misery. If you do not know how to behave with public, maybe don't work in public sector. I will never be visiting your hospital again for any reason.

Keep well away from this small private hospital. Arrogant doctors who lack the clinical judgement required when dealing with patients with complex medical problems. You'd be much better off either going to a large private hospital with ICU back-up or a large public hospital where staff are trained to deal with patients with complex medical problems. Shame on you.
