I actually didn't buy a stone or ring from Holloway, but I would strongly recommend them to anyone considering a diamond. Their expertise is exceptional and the staff were very helpful. I visited many jewellers in Melbourne, and the difference between the suburban jeweller and Holloway is massive and immediately obvious when you speak with them and visit. In the end, they didn't have the right stone for me, but they keep a great range. They seemed honest, and clearly had the very best understanding of diamonds and in particular, industry leading advice on Hearts & Arrows (and light performance), the certification of diamonds, and the importance of Cut (of the 4 Cs). I was dismissive of the 'value' we place in diamonds before I started looking, and they helped educate me and helped me ultimately get the very best value I could when I chose a diamond. When I next need jewellery with diamonds, I will return. Thankyou Alyra and Garry.

Paid $35 dollars to get my gold chain fixed. When I got it back and put It on, broke straight away. Then when I rang them about it, they said it's probably another link. They were not happy. Bring it in then, (HO HUM attitude.) Really rude staff also. A professional Jeweller, I was told, would have looked at all the other links, and let me know if there were weaknesses. He didn't. They took advantage of a Grandmother on a pension. I am so upset about this. Then they rang me, after they told me to send the receipt in the mail etc, which I did, then this woman rang and said that is NOT good enough, you have to come in here, or give me all your details over the phone. I am with NAB bank, have been for 53 years.they would NEVER ask for those details. Basically, these horrible humans refuse to give my money back.

Two rings were brought in for repair to the Canterbury rd store, on my behalf, the person was met by a condescending woman who rudely told her that the rings were not worth repairing as one "wasn't even silver and the stones were worthless, the other not gold or diamonds.she was made to feel like Julia Roberts in Pretty woman.l was so embarrassed knowing that one was 18ct gold with diamonds and the other platinum with 3 blue zirconias worth $300 per stone. How dare she flipintly discard these rings as rubbish.
If you are considering taking your rings in for any sort of work or repair, think again you too may be treated disrespectfully and more importantly lied too.
Obviously she doesn't even have the knowledge required for such a job.
As a business l always considered them one of the best, not anymore.consumer beware!
