1. The main bedroom upstairs has a doona which only fits the top of the bed I would say it’s a double doona on a queen bed?

2. The BBQ was not clean, I called the week before arriving and was told the BBQ was professionally cleaned - this is clearly not.
How the company can say that the BBQ Is professionally cleaned is beyond me as we were told to use the supplied BBQ wipes at departure and there was new people arriving that day!

3. All the scatter cushions around the house are extremely dirty. Noted this to the cleaner who came to supply additional spoons who removed the dirty cushions.

4. Spare blankets in the closets are extremely dusty - I had to wash them the day we arrived before it could be used. Holiday shacks advised that they do a thorough clean in the off season. This is clearly not the case.

5. All the cloth chairs in the kitchen and dining table is in need of a good clean.

6. All cushions for outdoors need a clean.

7. The oven was not the cleanest and could do with a good clean.

8. I had to wipe the entire inside of the draws on arrival.

9. On arrival some of the beds missed bed sheets, was told the person who did the changeover was not aware there was another bedroom downstairs.

10. There is only 1 teaspoon in the cutlery tray

11. The door to the main bedroom is faulty if it closes u can’t get in from the outside so we have to keep the sliding door unlock to gain access.

I’m afraid the house albeit in a great location and the views are spectacular the house is in desperate need of some TLC and extra care taken by the cleaners when they attend to complete changeovers.

With the cost of the weekly rental I believe the level of cleanliness is paramount and holiday shacks failed in this department.

We had an amazing Easter weekend at Luxe@ Coveside - this house was an absolute haven. We have stayed in many holiday rentals but after our experience with Holiday shacks, we will be booking with them always! The service and quality of homes available are like nothing else! They had thought of everything and the place was immaculate but extremely user friendly-especially for us with a toddler.

As well as the gorgeous interior decoration of the entire house, subtle luxuries such as heated floors made the stay that much more comfortable. The rooms are generous in size, all the beds were amazing and the bath in the main bathroom was absolutely fabulous. My toddler literally swam laps!

The house is situated in a lovely, quiet street that is within walking distance of the beach and local shops.

I cannot recommend this property enough and can’t wait to book it again!

Such a great holiday. Will definitely be booking through holiday shacks again. The house was perfect for me and my family. Holiday shacks team get a 5/5 for communication. From reading the other reviews I can tell that people moaning about not having their bond returned have done something wrong and had their bond deducted for good reason. We had a bit of an accident at the house and caused a stain on the carpet however reported to holiday shacks straight away and they said they had reported to owners who said they did not want to charge us for this. Our full bond was returned to us in 7 days after we left the property, would recommend a holiday with holiday shacks.

We are property owners and engaged Holiday Shacks as our rental management agent. Andrea and her team have been incredible to work with. At first we were nervous about renting out our gorgeous brand new coastal home but Andrea guided us through the process easily and instantly made us feel happy and comfortable with our decision to share our home with her clients. I could not recommend the team at Holiday Shacks highly enough. They offer a 5 star service to renters and property owners.

As a property owner, my experience with Holiday Shacks over the last four years has been fantastic. They provided extensive support to help me get started, and now work collaboratively with me in relation to rental options as I occupy my property for a significant portion of the year. The team screens guests, managing all communications throughout their stay, as well as offering the option for cleaning and linen services to make things easier. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my property.

When you book a vacay with a new company/AIR BNB you never know what you are going to get or if the photos/description live up to what was promised. Holiday Shacks was above and beyond everything I could have dreamt up for a PERFECT vacay!
Not only was the house as incredible as it looked in the photos, the inside was next level and insanely stocked! We arrived to a welcome bag of vino and goodies! The Kitchen was incredibly stocked with pantry items, knives sets, cookware, cutting boards, glad wrap/foil, dish soap, dishwasher pods, new sponges and wipes, etc.even a Ninja! Everything you could possibly want for. It seriously had everything that we have at home, which made our vacay even more amazing. We took so much stuff because they never live up to your expectations or hopes but this incredible property did! We definitely overpacked!
A few minor things occurred, such as AC remotes not working and TV remote needing replacing and both were handled immediately. The booking process was painless and we had even asked for some special requests that were met.
Andrea and Lucia made our vacay truly remarkable with their incredible customer service that did not stop once the booking was made, like most places. I cannot speak highly enough of these two amazing ladies who bent over backwards to ensure our vacay was magical! Even arranging a superb massage for my daughter and I in the home! It was true bliss and I will be a returning client forever! I highly recommend Holiday Shacks for your next getaway! Thanks so much!

We enjoyed our time spent at Newhaven. It was me, my husband and our three children. The property had lots of wear and tear (several items were broken or visually dirty), but the beds were comfortable and the space was great for a large family. While we had some hiccups on check-in, we were refunded one of the cleaning fees and we settled into the space and had a nice week. I think our expectations were high given the high price of the property. The space is nice, but it's an old house with several items that need to be replaced (some furniture, the trampoline, the basketball hoop, the carpet) or remodeled (downstairs bathroom) if HS wants to continue charging the Newhaven price.

company takes a lot more extra charges compared to other websites/platforms

The house we booked was actually already booked which was disappointing. We found another smaller house in similar location which was okay. The inside was pretty new and setup with all the baby gear you could think of. The outside needed a good clean up and we didn't let the kids play as it was a bit of a mess. Location was good to explore the nearby attractions by car. Unfortunately the hydronic heating also didn't work while we were there. Overall our stay was fine - around 3 stars thanks.

We booked a residence at mount Martha last minute for the long weekend for over $3500 and $1000 bond. The day before we were supposed to leave my sister in laws young uncle passed away suddenly. It was such a shock and she was devasted. I called holiday shacks to see what they could do (a credit note, refund, or future booking). And the response I got was that ‘we’re a business at the end of the day and there’s nothing we can do’. I was shocked. They would only refund our bond and nothing else. Not even offer a credit note or opportunity to book in the future. Such a cruel way to run a business. Me and my husband were forced to go with our children, without our family and stay just so we didn’t give them free money but we still left a day early because it was so depressing. Never again, plenty of other agencies to book with dong give them your money

Willowdene was the perfect getaway for the family, there is so much for the kids to do all on the property! So parents, kick back and enjoy your break too as the kids are taken care of. Everything you could need is provided, plenty of room for 2 families, amazing time.

Glen Shian is ideally placed - a short walk to the beach & a short drive to Mt Eliza Village. The layout worked really well for us, with 5 seperate sleeping areas (double beds), 4 indoor common areas & ample outside areas (including pool-side). The choice of common-areas allowed us to combine for meals / games or break into smaller groups & 'chill out'. The premises were modern, clean & well maintained and Holiday Shack staff were there to greet us & made themselves available for assistance.

(of course because they know they will hunt them down!) don’t answer calls a message service charge ridiculous bonds with terms n conditions email them them takes a week 3 different people respond prices vary in websites too!
Any landlord listing there property here think again!

Worst customer service ever! Look at other alternatives stay away

Recently invited away for the weekend with a friend to a property manager by Holiday Shacks. $1500 per night & a $2000 bond for what was meant to be an amazing weekend away. It was dusty, dirty, we were given the wrong alarm codes, the pool had slime in it, there was rubbish out the front, a vacuum cleaner sitting in the garden, dirty towels in the laundry and the property had clearly just been sold as the sign was still out the front. All immediate red flags. When contacting Holiday Shacks they said the property was managed by the owner - which had clearly just changed hands. Instead of offering a refund or another property to stay at they said we could stay another night in the same filthy house. Instead they sent someone to “clean the pool” (realistically a 48hr job due to the state it was in) and the owner came round either at night or early in the morning to take SOME of the rubbish. We weren’t sure as they didn’t let us know they were there. No compensation was offered no refund and the little communication that had happened stopped once we left. We had all travelled over 4hrs and already spent a ridiculous amount of money so felt stranded and with no choice but to await communication from management as to what was going to happen. Responses we got were “sorry I don’t work weekends” & “waiting for the owner to reply” and also “we can give you an a extra night in the same location. ” The property had been booked for a while so the owners or Holiday shacks management had ample time to prepare the property or arrange something else. Holiday Shacks will rip you off. Do not use.

Outstanding service along with professional and experienced staff. The owner is extremely hardworking, dedicated and committed, being available constantly to attend to your needs. A beautiful home and would recommended to anyone looking for high class accomodation.

This was absolutely a beautiful place to stay. The views were stunning, heaps of rooms, pool and the house was so spacious.
Dealing with Holday Shacks was so easy and hassle free.
Would highly recommend it to everyone. We can't thank you enough.
