H&L were able to keep our builder on time and budget during a difficult period for construction. Lyle kept us up to date through the process. We'll certainly be looking to work with them again!

I highly recommend Erin at H&L as she has been amazing throughout the process of looking for a suitable home and land package for us. When I first called Erin from the contact I got from realeastate.com.au. I didn't except her to pick up the phone on a Saturday Night. Not only she answered the phone but we met next day at Ballarat display home. If it wasn't for her, I would not have even looked at the land she found. Purchasing the land was not the best experience with Vendors, but Erin was there with me every step of the way. She didn't forget me after the sale as well. She kept checking in with me and went above and beyond to make sure we are well looked after! She is such a great asset to H&L. Haven't seen anyone with such great work ethics to be honest. Being a very busy loving mom, I don't know how she does it all. Honestly such a great Lady! Hope she gets recognised for all her efforts!

I’ve just finished building a home in Geelong which overall was a very good experience. There was some delays in the early stages but it’s been finished pretty efficiently and the quality is spot on. If I could do it again, I would’ve started it a bit later. But super happy to be finished & not have to landscape it myself. My sales guy was really good & so were the customer managers. They showed me through a standard house at the start not full of upgrades so I knew what I was getting which was great after looking at heaps of displays. Thank you H&L Victoria and Escape Homes

Dan from H&L was a pleasure to deal with, he really was, but I can’t recommend them with a clear conscience. They do all the ground work and the experience is incredible…. Until

…. They hand you over to a builder like Escape Homes who are an absolute nightmare to deal with. My house (small 130m2 single storey) has been on site since April 2021 and is only just near completion (mid August 2022) I’ve had 3 supervisors in that time, waited 7 months for timber, and since the frame was up we’ve still been on site for 8 months since that time, all while only receiving fortnightly “updates” that barely have any information in them.

Overall I think it’s a bit deceitful, which is a shame because H&L are really great to deal with.

Poor customer service but they actually delivered! We’ve been in our new home for 10 months now and loving it.

AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!
H&L Victoria is not a building company, they only do sales for builders, but they won’t let you know from the onset! They will passover your house to a wholesale builder and they get their percentage out of your build, then they are out of the picture.

You will be left with a third party builder who you don’t have any relationship with. Most of the times this third party builder will not even know your needs. Your contract with be signed with this builder and H&L will not have any control on your build.

In the Initial stages with planning and design they very nice but after you signing the contract that it! They disappear! When you have problems with the builder, they will distance themselves and refer you to deal with builder (with mine it has been Escape Home)

Escape home is another story I need a whole year tell, they are full of lies and super unprofessional both building delivery and customer support.

Don’t let them lead you to a dead end like they have done to me, It has been almost 20 months and me house is still not complete. I signed my contract in december 2020

You are better of building with a bigger company that have their sales, design and construction under one roof….

The sales consultant (Kelly Silm) at H & L Victoria was very approachable and knowledgeable. She gave us the time and bandwidth to decide what we want and was happy to go backward and forward multiple times to accomodate our requestes with the plans. Kelly's suggestions were very valuable and she called out where she saw issues with what we were doing, and how that could impact the overall picture. That helped us a lot in adjusting and coming back on track where we needed to, to make sure the theme of our house remained intact.

We signed up a 'turn-key' package for our Investment property. I must say the standard inclusions were super impressive and exceeded our expectation.

Apart from a lenghty delay with pre-construction work, the rest of the journey was fairly smooth given the circumstances. The build was completed by 3D Constructions. My supervisior and builder Danny Velvevski and Natasha were amaizing and provided us regular updates. Danny's attention to detail is second to none. We are super impressed with the workmanship of the trades engaged and extremely happy to see the final result.

I was searching for a builder for my first home and was recommended H&L Victoria.
So, I arranged a consultation, after meeting with Lyle from the Ashbury office I knew I had found the right builder. I was impressed with Lyle's upfront honest approach, professionalism and genuine interest in helping me achieve my goal while working within my budget.
We were working with a unique block size and found Lyle to be very accommodating in customising a floor plan that both suited my lifestyle and block.
Extremely excited to see our plans come to life.

It was a pleasure meeting with Jess at H&L. She was very open and supportive through the whole presale process, answering lots of our questions and emails. In the end we opted for a double storey, which H&L didn't offer at the time, so we chose another builder. But we were very impressed with Jess and H&L's service overall.

Luke was wonderful to work with, answered all my questions quickly and made the process of picking the design of my new home so easy. Was even able to design the layout myself, nothing was ever too hard or an issue that they couldn't sort out. Highly recommonend H&L Victoria.

We built with H&L Victoria recently and we were impressed with the service, speed and quality construction.

Luke from H&L Victoria was our sales consultant. He was amazing at following up our requests and drawing out plans to suit our need. His friendliness and honesty is an asset to any company.

The build was smooth and we were given a wide range of high quality products without the need for upgrades. Mind you, that we are building an investment house and sticking to a budget is a priority.

We arrange our own building inspection and there are no major defect on the house. The inspector conclude that the house was build properly and he rated the build to be one of the best as compared to other budget builders.

We bought a turnkey 22sq house package and they do delivered everything as promised.
