Your driver in his Ute driving in Mornington today swerving and doing 15kms under the speed limit with his kid in the front and him on the phone was a class act to witness. Must have been important as I witnessed it for about 5 minutes

The team provided great customer service. I originally started with a weekend hire and had to extended it to a week hire. The team upgraded my hire with only a small fee, and even provided a few days extra hire, at no-cost when I was running late on my project. I would recommended them anytime

This is a highly impressive place. They have really good systems. The staff are extremely helpful. They seem to have a system where they can identify you from your mobile so they know your name & use it.

Exceptional Service. I needed to hire a pole chain saw and hedge trimmer.when I arrived to collect the items they'd reduced the quoted price, when I questioned it they were aware and the price reduction wasn't an error.they clearly showed me how i was to operate the items.they offered to help me on saturday over the phone too if needed.the equipment worked beautifully.i was also given extra fuel and oil to use at no additionalcharge. Im looking forward to using their services again. I saved so much doing it myself. They also deliver.

These guys are the best. Their Customer service is amazing, they always have time and understanding with any jobs and they are seriously well priced. Can't recommend them highly enough. The only hire company you need. Cheers team.

Beware. These guys don't hesitate to double charge on the basis of fine-print, and not even tell you that they double-dipped. I hired a mini-bob-cat, which had issues with the key mechanism (later told that it was broken-in to in the days prior to hire). Looked at my bank statement months later and discovered the double charge. Rang them. First they apologised that they incorrectly charged; then they opted for the old "you used it more than 14 hours" trick, to justify the double charge. There was no way I used it more than 14 hours. They also alleged that I fiddled with the key mechanism, which was again totally and utterly incorrect.
Kennards and Coates from now on.

In retrospect, 1 star was too generous. In an attempt to keep their double-charge, they continue to change the goal-posts. The initial excuse relating to using the equipment for in-excess of 14 hours, came unstuck for them when they couldn't produce any relevant fine-print on their contract! The 2IC then resorted to "it should have been pointed out verbally over the phone". (Over the next hour, in the shop, despite several transactions, the "14 hour rule" was never mentioned, despite one-day charging over the weekend for a floor sander). When they ran out of excuses and were finally cornered, the lovely manager chimed in with 2 facts: ordering me to "Get f_cked" twice. About an hour later, the manager walks up and says "now we have both had a chance to calm down. "; abdicating total responsibility for behaviour unbefitting of a manager.

In summary, this company had a second go at my credit card without any notification at all: no phone call and no email. They have dragged-the-chain and changed-the-goal-posts in an attempt to pocket the additional charge without any legal or moral basis. The fine print in their contract didn't even back them up. On Friday morning (6/12), they vacillated with psuedo-justification and said that it will be looked at later in the afternoon. I then presented to the store later that afternoon; to be promised that the manager will look at it Monday afternoon. Today (Tuesday 10/12), when I followed up via phone, the manager grasped for another excuse about how I was 'incorrectly informed on the phone'. I then asked the name of the staff-member that "incorrectly informed me", and he stated that I should know.

Hiredepot Glen Iris quoted me $260 for pick up on Thursday late and drop off Saturday, with no charge promised for the Friday public holiday. My credit card was gouged an additional $260 after drop off. No justification. No transparency. No communication. No accountability.
Looking forward to the upcoming hearing at VCAT.
