Excellent customer service! The toys were a huge hit with both parents and children. Love that the toys come flat packed as I sent the pram and dolls cot to the US. Will definitely be purchasing from HipKids again!
Second one of these dear little prams I have purchased for my grand daughters! They are adorable. Good quality. Exactly as pictured. Lovely product. Hip Kids have great stuff.

It was a pleasure to enter the shop. It was bright and beautifully decorated with all the toys a child would want in there play room. It will be a regular drop in for me, with 9 grandchildren.
Customer Service on faulty or misrepresentation items is poor, looking at other low reviews, similar problem with communication through the online service is very one way for the business.
Recently purchased a yellow steel wagon, the product delivered was not yellow, it was an orange mustard colour. We contacted Hip Kids, provided photos of paint samples and other yellow items we had at home. We were advised the item was yellow, when clearly it is not.
HK offered an exchange at our expense, but dispatch of new wagon would be straight away by Thea, we explained our granddaughter is unwell and her birthday was in 6 days,
we receive another email from Kelly saying it will be processed like all other orders.
3 days and still no dispatch of the exchange, yet we were able to organize overnight express delivery from Adelaide to VIC of the yellow (faulty wagon.) Very disappointed with the online service, no accountability. We have raised the complaint with ACCC of misrepresentation of colour.
I paid about $200 for a tee pee, that i could have purchased from target for far less… the instructions were illegible with dodgy photos.
I also ordered a table and chairs, which after a almost 3 week delay has finally been shipped but still haven’t received.
The piano is amazing and the quality is excellent it's actually a real piano, sturdy as well my son loves it so much, the team were amazing that served us friendly and kind thankyou hip kids for this great piano.
Chaotic and understaffed. Although they have lovely products, customer service is woefully inadequate. I was made to wait a very long time in the shop despite having a baby strapped to me while the ladies took phone calls and attended to other orders. Put me off ever going there.
I had a really good experience with Hip kids. I have brought multiple things before from them. This time I brought a new bed for my 3 year old, unfortunately it arrived damaged. Amy from Hip Kids was nothing short of amazing. Her customer service was brilliant and I had the damaged part express posted, arriving to me within 24 hours (so I was able to construct the bed before arrived in 2 days. Having serious baby brain and needing to get the bed for the toddler sorted ASAP Amy was on to it! And exactly what she said happened. Highly recommend Hip Kids:)
Customer service very poor. Despite telling me before Christmas that standard exchange times were extended, when we went back hoping to exchange and purchase more, we got a “I’m very sorry but no. Check your receipt terms and conditions”. Very expensive and timber toys from Hipkips brand were average quality. There are better toy stores with lovely customer service. Don’t waste your time and money!
I bought 2 helmets for christmas presents, on the 27 NOVEMBER. Only one helmet arrived, provide photo proof and I have been going back and forth a million times, slowest response and no resolution. Almost 2 months now still not resolved. Doesn’t seem that hard to me. So yes pretty upset?
A very nice shop. Lots of traditional toys, and no electronics. The staff we dealt with where really good and the whole process painless. If they had had what we wanted in stock then would have been 5 stars.
Disappointing customer service and now may not receive my daughters Christmas presents in time for her first Christmas, despite ordering a month earlier.
A free gift was added to my order when I reached the min spend. I was genuinely delighted to receive it. I noticed there was another discount when I got to the checkout (again delighted) but the free gift was still there, so I was happy.
I was then emailed the next day to say that I didn’t qualify and asked what I’d like to do. I was marginally off the min spend after the additional discount was applied. I thought this was very poor form since I had already paid and received my order confirmation… and it was their system that made the mistake, not me. I emailed and shared this view and they agreed to include the gift and send out my order. One week passed during this time.
Over a week later, Sue, the owner of the company called to say I didn’t qualify for the gift and asked what I’d like to do. I told her that, to my knowledge, this had been sorted and was extremely disappointed to hear that my order still hadn’t been posted. She agreed to send it.
I then received another email with T&C’s explaining why I didn’t qualify but would include it as goodwill.
I'm honestly baffled as to why I was being bothered by this yet again. It was Hip Kids system that did it, and now I have received three emails and a phone call about it.
I would imagine (or hope) that they could see that the lifetime value of a customer is worth more than a free toy. How disappointing. At this stage, including a free gift already promised (and processed) during the purchase I made weeks earlier is hardly goodwill.
Now I’ve been advised that the order may not arrive in time from Christmas… a full month after I made the order!
Terrible Service- I placed order for helmet on 12.10.2021 Hip Kips provided product to Aus Post on 25.10.2021 13 days later. They charged $15.00 for delivery as I am writing this review I am still waiting for the helmet.
Same day I ordered the balancing bike as well from a different site which arrived 2 days later.
I so regret buying from them. No communication regarding delays whatsoever.
Expected delivery 4.11.201 - 9.11.2021.
Almost a month to receive a helmet.
We've purchased a few things from Hip Kids, we are so happy with these beautiful items and the quality is beyond expectation. The communication we receive after purchase is outstanding. Happy Buyers
Avoid their white furniture it has the worst chemical smell ever. Do not build their products and leave them in your children’s room, pure chemical off gasing smell.
Such a terrible online shopping experience! Ordered the Benji Toy Box as well as the House Toy Box a few days ago. Both arrived with damaged boxes and some of the parts inside were faulty. Customer service wasn’t really helpful although they wrote us 2 very long emails. Wasted our money on their products and only a refund would make it up to us.
Went in this morning to buy a pull along toy, I was amazed at the range and the helpful and knowledgeable staff. Thank you to the very friendly staff member who helped point me in a better direction for a gift. I appreciate it!
Excellent service, and great quality kids toys which will last (unlike the plastic junk found elsewhere which ends up in landfill!)
