Hillcrest Christian College reviews
15Good facilities and big campus. A bit oppresive and care alot about their external image. Would recommend for those that care more about extracurriculars.
As a student that has been at Hillcrest since year 3, I absolutely love this school, many facilities, a great learning environment and supportive teachers. There are many learning opportunities and ways for students to extend themselves academically and in their extra-curricular activities. The teachers are always there to help us when we need it and always encourage us to do our best in everything that we do. Yes there are some downsides such as the social atmospheres in the classrooms, but that's something that will be at any school and change between classes. Thank you to Crest for providing me with such a wonderful schooling experience so far.

Hillcrest christian college has great facilities and overall average-high academic standards, however (also seen that the owner of the school responds to these replies) the fees are really not worth what us, as students, are being given. So dear the owner of this school: please lower school fees and especially for secondary students, even if its only a few hundred dollars. Because the main reason you're losing kids is because fees + not worth the money = lets move schools
Some teachers at this school are just toxic not even helping students with there work and just sitting at the front desk.this does not go for all teachers and staff but when you have people not looking forward to class just because of teachers i think it should be time to change something.
First year here, Cool school and cool teachers and staff. Very nice how the school operates but the feature I dislike the most are the buildings or classrooms, they look pretty depressing not gonna lie. If buildings were more modern looking and not depressing then yeah probably a higher rating. Includes the bricks, colour of the classroom, tables, generally everything looks old. Only buildings that I believe aren't depressing are the PAT, both offices and library.
I am a student at Hillcrest Christian College and it is the best school that I have been to the other students are great, the teachers are really friendly and this school provides a great experience. I am very lucky to have been excepted into such a great school.
My daughter had her VCE from Hillcrest College and my son studying VCE this year at the Hillcrest Christian College as well it’s fantastic Christian college if you looking for college to make your children behave great and teach them how to be well respected and get them to grow up in fantastic well managed college then do something good for your children and get them to join Hillcrest Christian college.
My son asked me when he was at year 10 to move to another school which I did move him to the school he wanted to move to but towards the end of year 10 he couldn’t take it any more and was crying to go back to Hillcrest College after he has seen the different between the Christian school he moved to and Hillcrest College.
Kindly as usual from everyone at Hillcrest Christian college they took him back and now he come back to his enjoyment with the great culture at Hillcrest Christian college.
Thank you so much to the Princpal and the head of high school as well as every teacher recommended to have my son to join the great college again.
This is my story with Hillcrest Christian College I do recommend it for the families whose looking not just for education part of it but for having their kids grow up at great culture.
I went to Hillcrest from prep to year 12.amazing school, equestrian center is incredible and the library is so beutiful
The school's environment is toxic and unfriendly. Whenever bullying occurs they do nothing about it and don't care about the student's well being. I would suggest against sending your child to this school.
Im a previous student. It was a horrible environment to be in. Got bullied and the teachers didn't care much, i also got bullied by more then one teacher.
I was at this school for 3 years, I started in year 7 it was very confusing and difficult to navigate the school, I didn't have a map nor a timetable for my classes and for events I did not have enough information though those happened only on a few occasions. I struggled to make friends at the start but I soon made many friends. Other then the rough start this school is wonderful, all of the teachers are great and I have nothing to complain about them they care for every student and take time to help them. There are many great facilities at this school and a great learning environment to go with it. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.
This College is a wonderful 'all-round' Christian school, with offerings for a wide range of students. State of the art facilities, plenty of electives, great sporting and performing arts opportunities and all set on 100+ acres so students have room to breathe.
The school environment is toxic. The students bully and hurt each other and teachers don’t really care
If you care for your child's mental wellbeing and their drive to succeed sending them to hillcrest probably isn't in their favour, i definitely recommend seeking out other options before finalizing their schooling. I have heard the teachers don't pay close attention to the content the students are learning and often skim through the curriculum expecting the students to get it first attempt. My son who's now finished found during years 9 to 11 teachers lacked the effort and encouragement the students needed. The peers at Hillcrest have been known to bully and harm themselevs and those around them.
After carefully considering many secondary schools we chose this school for our daughter graduating out of Primary school to Secondary. She was initially intimidated by the expanse of the school coming from a much smaller one. But she has taken to it like duck to water and is flabbergasted by the avenues the school provides. Academics, sports, arts, drama, music, equestrian, technology. You name a thing the best schools ought to have, and Hillcrest has it. The best part is they learn to have faith in God and believe in prayers. It is a place for wholistic development.
