Can't understand why my many requests for technical support from Hikvision just get ignored. Spoke to a CCTV installer who advised me 'if your enquiry isn't for a new sale, they aren't interested in helping you' this is a pathetic stance. I spent a lot of money on my system and there is zero support. From what I've read online if you are in the UK or US they are more than willing to help, here.nothing.
The new hybrid alarm product is perfect. Hotline boy is really helpful walking me through how to wire and configure the system.
Hikvision cameras are sooo bad the NVR is trash, pulling footage from it is such a time consuming process. DO NOT BUY THIS TRASH!
We had Asian Sean install our system he changed the day on us last minute and charged us $510 for one camera.he came with his girlfriend who helped herself into our private property without being invited in and wondered around my house.what kinda of company are you guys running where you let your employees bring thier partners to work with them and Go into your customers home's.it's very unprofessional.definitely do not recommend this company if your looking for a professional service.
Completely disappointed with my Hikvision service. After buying Hikvision to run an offnet system and be self sufficient the distributor and wholesaler when trying to contact for support say "Speak to the installer" despite the fact that they did not provision the system. Ridiculous non sensical "need to be licensed" excuses (note there is no legislation supporting this in Aus) to avoid providing support to end user. The result is from an end user perspective that full manages and supports the system. No other SMB style IT infrastructure follows this sort of model which leaves users in an unsupported position and having to jump through hoops of the various stakeholders pointing at each other.
Given 15 years experience in the IT and Security industries at various levels of private enterprise and government as an Enterprise Architect, the support for these products is unsustainable and needs to be rethought through as I could not recommend these products.
Great product and post-sale service is excellent. I called the hotline at 5: 28pm on friday and they spent extra time solving the issue.
Too expensive considering the nearly non-existent aftersales service.i purchased the Hikvision DS-KIS603-P kit intercom kit (doorbell and indoor station) through my electrician and i honestly regret my purchase.it costed me $450 and i can't see the advantage over Aldi's $99 doorbell.
The electrician spent over 2 hours over the phone with the seller to set it up.i had trouble using the app, and after spending so much time i worked our a few things but i am still not able to:
- view video history although i have a memory card inserted.i can only view images, video give an error
- adjust brightness.camera quality is good, it shows my street in great details but faces are super dark and it doesn't seem there is a way of adjusting brightness / contrast.
- adjust the ring lenght or volume of the outdoor doorbell.my electrician (installer) tried but was not able to find solutions, the seller reffered me to hikvision head office, and head office refused to speak with me as they only speak with the installer.it's just too hard.i expeced a smoother set up for the price i paid.
I have been waiting for 5 months now to hear back from hikvision, very poor customer service. I have still yet to hear back from them. They ignore tech support emails even from installers
Tried contacting them twice and never got a reply. If this is an indication of what to expect with your after sales service, I am glad I did not buy your products.
I brought a home camera system.
Tooo expensive.
-Very bad customer service
-Product guides say pan and tilt available, but after purchase i found its only manual till & zoom.
-No return or refund if not happy with service.
-I brought a 5mp camera, still, Poor video quality.
I highly recommend NOT to go with them.
