Super slow service, 30 customers only served by one staff, empty train with no sushi, wait around 20mins to get one plate. 17 dollars for six extremely thin slices sashimi, still expensive even with discount. Everything there just fake crab meat, they just looks good but you know that's nothing worth to eat, also mashed fake crab meat inside the roll. Ridiculous. They know nothing about sushi, what’s why they keep the skin on kingfish sashimi. Terrible experience and Terrible food. Worst sushi train ever.

Awesome sushi train! Delicious sushi and the customer service is incredible and the staff are very genuine and respectful! Very family oriented restaurant too! Highly recommend this restaurant! Good priced sushi as well! If you're in Springvale, definitely check out this restaurant! The food is delicious!

We've (4 adults 2 kids) been here on three occasions both on weeknight and weekend nights. Service was exceptional in a casual but careful manner. Very polite and hospitable wait staff and well timed kitchen.

Disappointing. I had a 40% off discount on The Fork and was excited to try it. The bill for my boyfriend and I totalled $67. Without the discount it would've been over $100 which would not be worth it. The sushi on the sushi train was quite dry, particularly the chicken meat; I understand maybe that's because we arrived at 3: 45 and perhaps it had been a while since the sushi had been refreshed? But also the sashimi didn't taste particularly fresh. Overall it was alright but felt like quite a casual and "cheap" experience yet so expensive at full-price. For a date I'd go somewhere else.

The restaurant is located in the same building as Gold Leaf restaurant and on the 2nd floor as well. The restaurant was clean and brightly lit. Plenty of sushi and sashimi obtains available on the sushi train. Hot food can be ordered thru the tablet on the table. Service was good and prompt. Reservations are recommended as the place gets pretty crowded during peak hours. Good experience at this place.

Considering only 1 employee serving I reckon is good enough. Food is tasty. Recommended to go back!

My family had lunch here today and were very impressed! Great variety of dishes, super fresh, very delicious! Cold and hot cooked to order. Great range of drinks too! Reasonable price too! The service was attentive and fast. The venue is simple stool seating along the bar, as with traditional sushi trains and the decor is simple but stylish and spotless. Being upstairs above Springvale Market means it is a little out of the way, but i urge you to seek it out. My family agrees it is one of the tastiest sushi train experiences we've had in Melbourne:) Extra bonus. 30% off for giving them a shout out on social media:)

Fresh, tasty, fantastic service. When you order off the menu food, they prepare it within 5 minutes. Making reservations was easy, can do it online. I booked for a table of 13 and everyone enjoyed the food. Will definitely come back again!

Not too busy at dinner time, Only 9 tables at that time.

My favourite was California Hand roll.

Chicken karaage was not crispy, so i was bit disappointed. And Wagyu Sushi, Wagyu was bit Chewy and Tough bit difficult to eat.
The menu was fixed to the wall so it was hard to see.

Overall, I was been waiting to open when it's under constructed, very easy to access it's upper car parking where KFL is. So fresh Sushi Train definitely coming back!
It's worth to spend money on good food. Yeah! You will spend at least $150 of two of us to get full.was descent Valentine's dinner.

We went here for lunch as it had a 30% off promotion for March. It's definitely worthwhile trying for the price.
The freshly made sushi & dishes were great (hand rolls, agedashi tofu, king fish ceviche) but the sushi on the 'train' wasn't our favourite (limited fresh fish range).
I hope the business & traffic improve though as I think it can be great. Their drinks collection is also quite good!

Overall, dining experience in Hikaru was fine. We arrived the restaurant at 1: 00pm. There weren't many guests in the restaurant, but the sushi belt was still full of different sushi.
However, most of the sushi are the fusion type, with sauce or mayo on them. I suggest you provide some more traditional ones. Anyway, the calamari sashimi was very sweet, nice & crunchie. Great place to dine.

Great sushi train restaurant with a wide selection to choose from. A bit pricey for those with a big appetite.
