High Street Motel

My “work based” stay in Echuca was made pleasant, easy, and enjoyable. - my room was clean and spacious, and special mention to Gabi who went beyond her job description to assist me. Thank you Gabi! I will choose high street motel next time that I need to come to Echuca!

Great value for money!
If you’re happy to be self-sufficient in your holiday planning this is perfect. No face-to-face interaction, quick direct call and my room was ready to go with access already established (took me a couple of tries with the pin pad.key-less entry)
Arrived with the air-con and lights on, very clean room and loads of kitchen facilities.
Quite often you won’t find accommodation at this price with a kettle, toaster, microwave and smart TV.
The parking is numbered accordingly with the rooms, though some of them are angled which could be difficult if you’re not a confident driver/big vehicle
Very pleased with how easy it all went. Would stay here again!

Torey and Lea were so friendly. Made me feel very comfortable. They helped me with a room when the other place I was booked into told me that my booking wasn’t even in their system (which was a lie) I got the only room that was available at Easter time. Thank you again. Will definitely be back

My wife and I with four children called to make a reservation. The lady on reception was happy to oblige a booking for 6 until she discovered we had four children. She indicated they had no family rooms. I responded advising I am happy with a queen bed and single in each room, and would take two rooms that she indicated were also available. She then replied advising they don’t take ‘groups ‘ like ours! I asked why and she said we can’t have 4 children (11-17) in one room. I replied advising we sleep one adult in each room with 2 children to which she replied ‘yeah a lot of people say that…’ insinuating we are liars, and all but hung up after suggesting we try another motel. I was astounded. Wow wee, what are ‘family’ hotels coming to. Places affected by flood and Covid and so forth you go out of your way to support, and receive exceptionally poor hospitality and downright unprofessional and rude behaviour. I don’t normally leave reviews but places such as this should be called out otherwise they continue on operating with impunity.

Nice clean rooms, comfortable bed and great general feel. Close to pretty much everything Echuca has to offer and easy to find.

Good standard rooms. Good customer service and pricing. Walking close to town. Undercover parking. Good for motor cycles.

Never in my life have I encountered such overt RACISM! I called to make a booking for the First Nations Organsation that I work for and was met with "is that an Aboriginal Organisation? " and a loud "No" coming from the background. He then proceeded to say that he had nothing available & to look at "budget motels" in the area! (there was availability online) I explained that I heard the rude interaction in the background and that we were not after "budget" accommodation, and that they have not had a problem with our organisation before, to which he then promptly hung up while I was in mid-sentence! FOUL, RUDE, IGNORANT and very terrible customer service with no reasoning behind it. I was left totally rattled to say the least. I wonder if they ban all organisations based on the race of the people they may have had problems with before? If so I guess they would have a very empty hotel. We will take our repeat future business elsewhere for sure!

Small friendly motel ideal for overnight stays. Great location and great rates.strongly recommended.

Lovely reception by staff. Clean, pleasant well appointed room with kitchenette facilities. Great comfy bed and very quiet.

Great motel, very clean and comfortable. And it's run by a lovely couple who will take good care of you.

Stayed only one night passing through, staff welcoming, room nice and warm, clean nod comfortable Dianne from Engadine.

Parking bays are very tight. No outside sitting area except for table and 2 chairs outside the room. The room was basic and clean.

Lovely & clean rooms, proprietors very helpful & maintain motel to a high standard, first stayed here in 2014, highly recommend

Happy with our stay there for 2 nights about a week ago. Good position and reasonably priced. The owner obviously takes a lot of pride in it's cleanliness and maintenance. Happy to recommend and would stay there again.

Small motel, basic but extremely clean. Room was lovely and warm and beds very comfortable. Very conveniently situated, close to centre of town. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would happily stay again

I have never in my life encountered such rude owners of an Hotel. On arrival was pretty much called stupid because I said "we had a booking" I was told I should have said "we have a booking" and that I, like most people didn't know how to speak properly! Then I had apparently parked my car on the wrong angle, the owner saw me park it there as he was walking beside my car as I parked it. The next morning I was berated by him and he called me selfish as I had to ask another guest (who was standing beside her car) to please let me out. When I told the wife on departure that I was not happy with the way I had been spoken too she became very aggressive, yelling at me and also inferred I was an idiot! I then called her a few choice words, and she called them straight back at me! The cleaner ran after me and apologized for the way in which I had been spoken.
