Heyday Hong Kong Cafe reviews
29I think this is the best HK cafe in Melbourne. Tucked in a little lane way with 20 seats always gives me my morning instant noodle set fix
Melbourne's best kept secret. Always take loved ones here to try their food, CCT style
Very authentic Hong Kong restaurant, small, but loads of options and good food.
I had the satay beef noodle soup and the porkchop and rice with onion sauce. Topping it up with a sweet lemon tea. Unfortunately I couldn't take pictures of the porkchop and rice because I was too hungry, but it was delicious! The satay beef was out of this world as well.
The pricing is very reasonable and I loved this restaurant.
One of my fav places for authentic Asian (Hong Kong) food, small place but was not that packed even on Sat.
Great for individual visit
Definitely recommend the peanut butter French toast
HEYDAY HONG KONG CAFE, Chinatown Melbourne. HAPPY LOCKDOWN FRIDAY. I really miss this hole in the wall HK Cafe that we checked out well before lockdown and enjoyed our little authentic HK style breakfast - we ordered two breakfast sets (Set A & Set B each back then which both comes with a drink) and an extra naughty Buttered French toast!
Have been here for years, stopped after they changed chef around beginning of 2023. The new chef adds lots of onions into the food. I miss the taste of the dishes made by the previous cook.: - (
Lovely spot for quick and easy lunch. Definitely recommend. Staff were very friendly as well. Quite small so get in quick.
True place serving authentic yet very old school hong kong style cafe fast food. Friendly services and reasonable price. The vibe is a real winner
Melbourne rated this place a 4.5 score, what a joke, and Im from Auckland.
The food is the worst ive ever had, service is rude, the place is very run down and cramped.
I ordered a cream sauce with corn, mushroom and chicken on rice. The sauce is like those canned Campbell soup heated up and poured on a bed of steam rice.
My friend ordered satay beef noodles soup which has no satay flavor at all.
The biggest let down is the milk tea, its very watery.
Do not recommend.
Just moved from HK to Melb, undeniably authentic:) reminds me of childhood times going to these cafes in Hong Kong
please give them a try!
Best HK place quick and easy. Best thing is the dishes comes with a cup of drink of your choice
I've seen their rates and looked at their menu and photos of food and drinks made me so curious and wanting to try out.
Me and partner gone to experience their food and drinks the day I found them.
All were what I expected and very Hong Kongnes from my opinion indeed and definitely we want to go back time to time to experience more their food.
Authentic Hong Kong style food. Simple menu. Inexpensive. Food much better than those Chinese restaurants with too strong favour.
This is a small authentic hong Kong style cafe which people call 茶记, food are nice and delicious, their food really hong Kong style, set a set b meal, I will really highly recommend who really miss their home hong Kong cafe
Good Hong Kong style cafe food. Service was very good too. The place is small but we got a table upon entering.
Hits the spot for classic Hong Kong style cafe in melbourne. Food is tasty simple and super quick to come out. Don’t expect anything mind blowing but if this is your comfort food then this ticks all boxes.
Simply amazing homely and heart warming food. Authentic lifeline for the rice hungry Asian. Cha siew furong egg rice is a must try. Better than all tze char in Singapore
Best overall 'authentic' food experience in Melbourne. Took me back to HK. Exemplar service, value and food.
Not luxury and fine dining, but very authentic Hongkong food. Bring me back to my childhood.
Good value of money though.
Hidden down an alleyway just off little Bourke is a blast to Hong Kong in Melbourne. The vibes inside made me feel like I was in HK. Food was delicious and no frills, which is not a bad thing. Great prices for the quantity of food. I will be making this a regular stop for myself.
