I waited in reception. However, eye contact was not may by female staff and needed to wait for the gentleman to finish with the customer he was dealing with to get some attention, service.

Great service from the time I booked the rental car to the return of it. Friendly staff, that explained my responsibilities with the rental contract. I returned the car full of fuel as requested and received my deposit back within days. Thank you for a positive experience.

Trouble customer service walked in to return a car and wasn’t even greeted with a hi gave them the key and they just walked outside without saying anything than walked back in after 5 min and said to me “you can go now” like I was student waiting for the principal to let me go I checked my bank I was charged $199 for which I didn’t even know what the charge was for

Pity there is nothing less than 1 star. Hertz absolutely ruined our holiday! We had a car booked for over two weeks and they advised 3 hours prior that our car was cancelled and they couldn’t supply another vehicle. We called asking for help getting another vehicle and are still waiting…. Making last minute arrangements now means we have a vehicle stuck interstate and it’s cost us $$$
So far Casey has not been able to be contacted and the matter has not been dealt with at all.
I now have 2 case numbers 17201221 and 17440336 In which no one from Hertz has made contact

The most unprofessional and rudest customer service I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. License was expired, they told me that I need a stamp from VicRoads because apparently the 3 month’s license renewal that’s good enough for the police and everything else government based isn’t good enough for a hire car company. Went and got the stamp done with the intention of picking up my hire car today after a conversation I had with a women customer service officer yesterday at 8.49. Called Hertz as soon as I was done with VicRoads, and the guy I spoke to very abruptly and rudely said “we don’t have a car available for you to hire”. Not only was he unprofessional but condescending and even went to assume that I was lying about a conversation I had with one of their workers yesterday after providing him with my call log history. If it means changing my insurance provider so I don’t ever have to deal with this company again I will do just that.

This is my second time dealing with them and the last time they refused to reimburse me my deposit because they lied and said I didn’t fill the tank after giving them a receipt from 7/11 with evidence of me filling the car up. Hopefully this is the last time that I deal with them.

I’ll be escalating this issue to head office anyway but I’m leaving this review to save anyone else this inconvenience. Even one star is generous, but that’s the only way I can post this review.

Not happy with the customer service. I went to drop the car last week. After everything done, people were too BUSY minding their own business without saying that all done, I can leave. I waited there for 20 mins unnecessarily, hesitating to ask as I felt there is no warm welcoming for me before itself. I didn’t know I can leave until Alison said. One of the very fewest moments of racial discrimination I had faced in Australia, as I clearly saw both the woman and man served the another white lady willingly before me. May be their customer service is good but equality is definitely very poor.hope the management would teach them how to value the customer despite their attire and colour.

Worst customer service by both receptionist. They don’t know Hertz policy that anyone with international license can drive, it’s clearly mentioned on their policy. They refuse to give car by denying the Hertz policy.
Reply to Hertz: As per Vic roads my wife is still allowed to drive. I would suggest to contact VicRoads to stay up to date. If this is Hertz policy, I couldn’t find it online.
Receptionist were telling me that they consider overseas license as learner.

I'm happy with the car, wish it was mine to keep.
Return it to Cranbourne they were good.
But it been a week the deposit I pay for the which is $500 isn't in my account.rent the car on Saturday, now it Friday.
That my only problem.that's why I gave 3 out of 5 stars

Very disappointed from their service.you will not get your bond back soon if you hired car from here. To add to it, they have a special talent of getting money from you for someone else fault.

The car itself was great. Almost brand new with some bells and whistles. The two stars are for customer service. As soon as I walked in the two groups at the desks at either end, started negotiating with each other who would serve me. One group was busy with one thing, and the other group with another thing. There were no other customers present. The man who served me was a bit short and arrogant with me. Wasn't friendly and welcoming at all. The only positive is that the interaction took 10 mins and I was able to get out of there.

Warning to all do not use this terrible business.
Staff are rude with appalling customer service and judging by the reviews they have a real little rip off system running.they will tell you petrol is not filled and will not refund your $200 bond (this is surely criminal behaviour) we went across road and put another $6 in car till petrol was overflowing and still the smug young fellow said no it is still not full so we cannot refund your money! Well we will see about that!
I was sent there by AAMI so had no choice but hope AMMI will act on this dispicable service.

Absolutely the worst service I've ever recieved from anyone.
The female service attendant was so RUDE.
Disputing service. Treated us like criminals and refused to make changes to our booking.
Herts Australia. Shame on you for hiring these types of people.
Stay away from the dandenong hert at all cost.

Hurts to rent from Hertz. Rented this i30 with no floor mats (and holes in the floor as a result) plus it had over $40,000kms. The seatbelt warning alarm kept coming on even though I had my seatbelt on. Obviously very annoying but it would come and go so I put up with it. When I returned the car it smelled like incense so they claim a fumigation fee on their old beat up car. Clearly just a money grab. Hurts to rent from hertz. You’ll find better cars at same rate elsewhere.

I wish I read the reviews on this Hertz Dandenong branch before hiring a car from them. I spent a couple of thousand hiring a vehicle from here for a month, you would think you would be treated nicely and with some respect after being a good customer. There is lady who is extremely rude I think her name is Steph I could be wrong but she is very ignorant and abrupt, I have never experienced such poor customer service in my 25 years of living, Im also certain I have been ripped off, car price was nothing to what I booked for online, No discounts what so ever but a bit of respect would of been appreciated, Unfortunately there were no other cars available as this was during christmas new year period, My partner went back this morning to return the car and swap for a cheaper one and he was told again that there were none available which is fine so we asked to extend the car hire of the current car we had and we were told it would cost $280 for 2 days which is nearly 5x more than what we have been paying for the last month, we were told it was an "unexpected change charge" but we had been extending the car hire all month we were never charged that much, she then went on to say noble park were also booked out and no cars to hire and told my partner they had no cars either which was a lie because I have called hertz Noble Park myself 5 mins later and was able to reserve a car from them, my partner has gone there an hour later to pick up the new car and customer service was great, just ripped off and poor service from dandenong branch, I've never been more disgusted, But I will never ever go back to the dandenong branch again, If I could rate them below 1 start I would do -5.

Had one of the worst experiences with this branch of Hertz. The two ladies at the front desk including the branch manager didnt have an ounce of customer oriented service. Had complications during the renting procedure which could have been made easier with smoother customer service. The whole process was distressing, definitely recommended choosing an alternative Hertz branch if possible compared to dandenong.
