Tristan is the best hairdresser in Melbourne, if not the world. I once met THE Christophe Robin, who went on and on about how immaculate my highlights were. Tristan did them. When I gave Tristan a photo of a beautiful horse as inspo, he didn’t even flinch, just examined it closely then proceeded to discuss how I could achieve the beautiful horsey hair of my dreams. And then executed it perfectly. What a guy. Great cuts, good chat and the basin chairs were created at NASA or something. Also responds intuitively to briefs like ‘rich girl blonde’ and ‘oh, you know what I like’. The actual best.

Had my hair cut by Chelsea. I'm pretty picky about my hair cuts and have searched high and low for someone to cut my thick hair properly. Chelsea absolutely nailed it and I couldn't be happier.

Visited Herr Blick for the first time last week and had my hair cut by Tristan, as a male with long hair it can be tricky to find a good hairdresser but he hit the nail on the head and helped me understand how to manage it more easily and I am very happy with the result, really cool salon and a great cut!

I see Tristan to do my colour and cut, I’m a hairstylist And work for myself so find it really hard to find a good stylist that cuts and colours amazingly he achieves my desired blonde and cut every time, my hair is so straight It needs someone more experienced, he really takes the time to listen to what you want, which I always find hard these days, if you see him you will not be disappointed! I wouldn’t trust anyone else. The space is so nice as you get your own space to yourself which is so relaxing. I always feel amazing leaving the salon and Tristan is just lovely.
When you get your hair washed you have this big window on the roof that you can gaze out off, very quirky little spacious salon.

I have been going to Herr Blick for 8 years now and have had my hair cut by all the team. Tristan is the new member of the team and he has cut my hair the last 3 times and I am so happy. Especially this last cut as I have short hair it can be hard to get a good precision cut but tristan nailed it. Thank you x

Just a shout out to Tristan for giving me a killer cut. It's layers for days, and I've been getting SO MANY compliments about how good it is. It's also the first time in years I haven't taken my own scissors to a cut.

Went in for my first cut this week with Steven, was very impressed! The atmosphere that Steven creates with his classical music is incredibly relaxing - not to mention the hair washing completed by his apprentice - will certainly be returning for my next cut!

Absolutely amazing experience. I've thin fine hair and I find getting a good straight cut almost impossible. Not only was Steven's professional cut dead straight and gave my hair volume, the wash, hair treatment and head massage were spine tingling down to my toes. 'Lie back and think of Australia' is a trade mark humour of Steven. The products tailor made are very light and actually work without drying hair to ground-breaking point. Highly recommended if a vintage hair art experience is sought.

I went for a haircut and experienced pleasures more sharply edged than ice or steel. Oh, Steven, you who are all light, all colour, an explosion of warmth in my sunless Siberia, what ignoble glory and sublime infamy are yours! It was grouse.

You'll be visiting the creative conduit curated by Steven Blick, organically complemented by his partner's awe-inspiring Jewelled gowns and studio. A real aesthetic treat to behold as you have your scalp doted over, hair pampered and bathed. This space is clad with reflective pieces and a small team of approachable artisans. They each take time to do tasks to perfection While distracting you with a myriad of discussion topics, deep philosophies and entertaining dialogues- It's that quick-dry banter which is profoundly unique to the hair salon experience - It never felt tiresome.

I have walked away reinvigorated, re-energised and younger. The style exactly suited to my face, personality, lifestyle and complimenting my natural streak of white hair. I also purchased some products which aren't advertised, they are ethical, natural and are so delicious and versatile, with a little ode to the Australian native. They absolutely work too, applause!

The culture at Blick is one that listens, plays with innovation without pretentiousness and stays current with ideas but without blasting them at you. This is a service and atmosphere which you never knew you needed, true professionalism without all the bollox. I look forward to my next session. A salon you can trust.

My review is not based on the experience but more so the customer service which was quite disappointing. Had an appointment booked in with Steven with a confirmation text sent upon booking.with 2 days to go i received another text with all the booking details but this time in small print it changed the name from Steven to someone else.without advising me of this change and if I hadn't read the msg which I think most people would not have, I would have shown up and be told.as i said it was quite disappointing from someone who prides themselves on having immaculate customer service and being all about the experience.just thought id share my experience and let people know to do check your confirmation msgs.good luck.
