Heritage Indian Restaurant reviews
25Just moved into the area. Me and the girls needed a new Indian joint and we chose heritage. Couldn’t recommend the butter chicken and samosas enough. Both absolutely delicious. We all sat out under our new outdoor area and ate, thanks for making this a night to remember.
Really excellent authentic food, just delicious and such friendly owners! Will definitely come again
Stunningly, Authentically, beautifully spiced, aromatic+flavoursome indulgent experience. Most Professional+Courteous Service! WOW!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this exquisite restaurant, and I must say it was a great experience from start to finish. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our visit. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to explain each dish, ensuring we made informed choices.
Now, let's talk about the food - Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavors that delighted my taste buds. The menu showcased a perfect balance of creativity and tradition, and the presentation was simply stunning. In summary, this restaurant is a gem that deserves every bit of praise. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a memorable dining experience, this establishment delivers on every front. Highly recommended.
I didn't actually dine in. I had a takeaway from Uber from here.
I've been in Australia for nearly 20 years. Prior to that - England. Manchester and Birmingham, the curry capitals of the world. I know my indian food!
The food from this place is either the best or the second best Indian food I've ever had. Everything about it was perfect.
This is now in my Google KEEP Iist of the best Australian restaurants. It's the top for Melbourne and Victoria
Great food!
We were in the area and we’re looking what was open on a Monday night. Most places were shut but not this gem!
It felt super authentic. The food was tasty, and the service was spot on, they even asked me if I wanted another beer when I was still two sips away from finishing the previous beer, excellent service.
We had the mixed entrées, the tandoori platter (five serves), the fish curry, rich and garlic naan. It was probably enough for 3-4 people. So I’ve got lunch sorted tomorrow, happy with that, it was all tasty!
The bill came to just under 100 bucks, not that considering there’s a couple of beers in there.
Would definitely go again if I was in the area.
I LOVE this place. Get take away or delivery every couple of weeks. The yummiest food at a very good price, and I always have enough for 2 meals. Highly, highly recommend:)
Top notch Indian food. The decor is a bit 'hair salon', so I usually get takeaway, but there's a wide range of carefully prepared and delicious curries on offer. The staff are very friendly as well.
I am not a big Indian food fan but I craved for it all of a sudden. That lead me to ordered here. I ordered Lamb Madras, Murg Malai Tikka and 3 naans. Everything was so delicious. I am definitely going to order here more. I saw few negative reviews and was a bit worried to order. But definitely made a good decision trying it out. Only thing is I would have wanted a bit more in the take away box. It cost me $42.
Great place to order from. The kofta is mind-blowing. The other dishes are also excellent. The ambience isn't the greatest but a great place to order from. It's available on uber eats, or you could just call them up for placing an order. They've also got Indian beers which are not the easiest to find. Good place for indian dessert as well.
Great food and reasonable prices. Really nice quality meats used as well.haven't had a disappointing feed yet. Not the most amazing atmosphere in the restaurant, but that's because it's usually pretty quiet. Lots of take away meals going out constantly. Wait times vary.
Excellent quality, authentic cuisine. Big fan of Indian grub, this is right up there with the best.
Very disappointed the food was very bland it had a store bought taste. Not a good Indian restaurant
Terrible restaurant, my family and I went here for a party and they turned the power off at like 11: 00 and if you know Indians we like to stay at party’s late especially when the party is with close relatives then they took the food off the tables and when we POLITELY asked them to turn the lights back on they said no very rudely, so in conclusion I from personal experience think that this restaurant has terrible treatment so I wouldn’t recommend it.
Ordered the Malai Kofta and Palak Paneer tonight with Naan for take away. Couldn't finish it as it was very salty.
Awesome food. Captured the perfect taste right between spicy and sweet. The Nans were amazing with the chutney and i really encourage people to try the place out.
Very friendly and really took the time to explain the different food. Really looked after us especially when we got there as a walk in late Monay night. 10/10.
The service here was actually insulting. My group arrived and made an order. An hour later, we'd only been served a single entree. The entire hour we were there, we saw orders constantly coming out of the kitchen, straight into the hands of someone either taking away the order, or an UberEats or other equivalent person.
For an entire hour, only around four or five dishes were actually served to customers inside the store. This wasn't just our group, there were two groups who had arrived before us that still hadn't gotten more than one or two entrees.
Honestly, the food was pretty good. However, the service is absolutely horrendous. Can you imagine waiting over an hour for food, and after asking when you're food is coming, the serving staff only says that they're busy, when there are exactly four groups totalling to under 15 customers in the store, when they have clearly just been prioritising takeaway and online orders?
There was clearly not a queue, as I observed several people coming in and ordering on the spot for takeaway, and they received their food and left, before we even saw a single entree.
One of the very best Indian restaurant around Heidelberg. If you truly wanted authentic Indian food, try once.
10/10 food every time I’ve ordered. Best Indian food I’ve tasted, I highly recommend this place to anyone with taste buds. If u have a mouth that can eat things, try a meal from here at least once in your life, you won’t be disappointed.
