Heritage College The Basin

A great independent Christian school. Being small the class sizes aren't too big with more time with the teacher. Glad they have dedicated teaching support staff.

I have very much enjoyed a long association with Heritage College The Basin and have found it to be an outstanding school. It has a focus on strong values to support the students education. HCTB has consistently provided a nurturing environment where Teachers are engaged with a positive focus on the best education for students. The school has strong leadership with a vision for delivering personalised learning. The Principal and staff are all approachable and friendly and any problems I have come across so far have been dealt with well. I have three children who have attended HCTB, one of which is now in high school and is excelling academically as a result of the teaching he has received at HCTB. I would certainly recommend Heritage College The Basin as an Independent school of choice.

All 4 of our children have been lucky enough to go to this amazing school.
The Bush setting is just beautiful. The children love their weekly trips down there exploring and learning about nature and caring for our waterways.
The individual learning plans provided for our children has allowed them to learn in a stress free environment. Our children love the garden club and choir. It has provided them with opportunities beyond the class room.
We would highly recommend this school.

Heritage College manages to find the balance between academic learning and providing a beautiful supportive environment for the students to grow. After spending some time at the College, you can't help but be impressed by the smiles of the children and their excitement with all the activities that occur on and off campus that wouldn't usually be available for primary students. Love this school!

Our 2 girls go to Heritage. They love school and are getting a great education. The teachers and staff are dedicated to fostering their individual needs and strengths, are Christ centred and the students are growing to love God, love each other and love their neighbours. The community of families is involved and supportive. Highly recommended!

I started at Heritage in grade 2 in 2011 and was at the school until I graduated in year 6. I look back fondly at the time I spent at Heritage, I always felt safe, included and even excited to come to school. Once a week we spent a class outside learning in the bush located in the property - a resource that few other schools have - and I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to play in nature when I was younger and learn about the bush ecosystem.

We absolutely love Heritage College and have been part of the school community for 7 years. A beautiful environment where children can feel safe, secure and supported. Fantastic values and it has a great community feel. I love the structured play centred approach for the junior years and the extra activities such as choir, art club and gardening club to name a few. I also love taking my daughter to the gorgeous little play group. I would highly recommend Heritage College.

I have been attending the playgroup held at Heritage College for a while and can highly recommend it for social interaction both for mums and children. The school is surrounded by bush which not only creates a calm environment but allows the children to explore and be active as well.
Would highly recommend!

This school has so much to offer, we had a look down in the bush area and it is a beautiful quiet little spot to explore and discover all sorts of things. My children love going to the school and always have a great time with friends.

The potato spirals looked tempting however by the time I got to them I was to full.
Stacks of activities for the kids.

What a great little school nestled at the foot of the Dandenongs. The fair is a great yearly event for our family, we wouldn't miss it! A fantastic, family friendly event not to be missed.

Great event at the school fair. So much to see and do, very well organised. Worth coming to and good fun for all ages.

Our kids really love this school. The Heritage College staff are very engaged, professional and caring towards the students. The high teacher to student ratio has meant our boys have had an outstanding start to their education with very hands on and experiential learning. The AMAZING bush our children get to forage in and discover each week is something we had never dreamed they could experience at a school!

We had such a wonderful time working with the fun and creative community at Heritage College The Basin during their school production.

Our children have been students at Heritage College in The Basin since early 2011. In these 3 school years, we have been so impressed with the school as it continues to grow and develop. Our children love going to school, and are learning so much. The teachers and Principal are very warm, caring, enthusiastic and dedicated to making learning enjoyable and engaging for all their students. In all the classrooms, students are all encouraged to share their ideas and to contribute in class. Our kids are especially loving their Science and Art lessons, and always have something interesting to share about what they've learned in Outdoor Environmental Ed'. The school's Christian atmosphere and community are very welcoming, and all families are respected and valued. We are so happy with Heritage College for our children.
