17A beautiful & popular picnic area. Popular with kayakers & family groups. A terrible shame that "Parks Victoria" have chosen not to re-open the public toilets or lock the evening gates. The word on the street is that they have choosen to let it get run down & neglected in order to sell privately for exclusive rather than public use. I hope that is not the case. Our taxes & Parks allotment of rates need to sustain this beautiful & currently public place.
It's a lovely spot with access to the lake, ample parking and many picnic tables. It's not terribly big but plenty of nice spot along the water to have some privacy, the grass area is nice and plenty of willows provide shade along the bank.
Perfect picnic spot for your family on a sunny day. No Barbecue available, however there are quite a few benches to have and open spaces. You could have some fun with row boats (Just that you need to get your own). In all lovely place for short family picnic. Only reason gave 4 stars was that the restrooms were locked for maintenance and hope it's just an one off thing.
Beautiful area for family time and lake side water based activities. Loved the entire experience!
If you want some quiet time with friends n have a picnic then this is the place.
Nothing much else to do here.
No BBQ or shelter here.

Nice place to visit, a few picnic tables. Their are No bins so bring a bag for your rubbish to take home, public toilets

Henley Picnic Area is a grassed zone adjacent Aura Vale Lake. There are picnic tables. A boat ramp. Lots of parking. Toilets and change rooms that are #accessible. There is accessible parking
Great place not to busy, some shades around the side of the lake & just enjoy being on the water this time of the year. Happy New year 2019
For us this our local swimming hole and picnic area can get quite busy on nice days
Picnic tables are had to getting on busy days as there are only a few spread throughout the park.
Great place. Lots of shady spots to picnic. We took the kayaks out for a calm paddle among the ducks. Had a great day here.
Nice and quiet picnic area. Perfect for the pets to swim in. Public toilets and picnic tables available in the area
How parks/ local council can let such a beautiful area go unused and unkempt is beyond me.
Why the "water quality" has been poor for 10+ years is a joke. Why no initiatives to stock the excellent body of water with schooled and farmed trout is a missed opportunity.
Unused, unloved space.
Youre better off heading across the road the the cardinia resiviour and spending your day there
It's an ok attraction, but there are better and more leafy location in the emerald lake area which are nicer
Great picnic spot, shallow lake great for paddle boating, bathrooms, picnic tables and fishing.
Its a nice but small place. Apparently good for fishing. No barbeques, no dogs. No swimming, but kanoeing is allowed.
