Helping Hands Mission Inc. - Preston Op Shop reviews
28I've been a long fan of thrift shops, and my first visit to this one was good, found awesome books, not to mention the size and selection is nice
Great sized place and variety, prices could be improved a lot on heaps of items, $15 for a Bluray movie really?
Hi There my experience has been just amazing all staff are so humble have been to many op shops this one helps needy & goes beyond what words can say “ best people ever so happy with your service “
Staff was Rude, Such crazy Prices ive seen at a so called "Op Shop" ive seen the same stock else where for cheaper
One of the best OP shops in Melbourne!
Immense range of products: furniture, sports, kitchenware, clothes.all at excellent price. And a warm smile at the counter. Thank you!
Good variety of 2nd hand items at fairly good prices. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
Really fun op shop to look at, they have a cool retro section to check out. The clothing out of the retro area is really cheap which was great The man at the counter was very helpful as well:)
This place is closed, just came to check it out and found out that the place seems to be under construction.
I honestly don’t understand some of the negative reviews about ‘rude’ staff. They were all so lovely. Maybe they were rude to some people who were being rude to them? Its a two way street people. I also got an amazing armful of clothes for just $20, some of which are new with tags and good brands.
Had a very unpleasant experience with a staff member there that has put me right off ever going back. It was enough to put me off not buying the things I wanted to purchase. She was horribly rude. Even another customer who was not known to me, spoke up and said to her “there’s no need to be rude”. I’ve never had this experience at the Airport West store. I won’t be ever going back to the Preston store again.
A much larger op shop than average. You'll find a lot more than just clothes and crockery here LOL. Bikes, tons of toys, you name it! Been here a few times. Really happy with the help I get from staff, especially the smiley Asian lady who processed my purchase today. So warming. And the parking is easy. The place is away from any kind of main drag. You park in a suburban street.
Great op shop. Best one in the area. I found what I was looking for, and thanks again to Debbie who was very helpful and made my shopping experience a stress free and pleasant one. I will definitely be back.
Worst op shop I've ever been to. Way over priced and incompetent staff. I'll be telling everyone I know about it.
Dreadful experience…. Donated some excellent quality items today. And the staff member was so incredibly rude!
All excellent usable & re-saleable items but she quizzed me like I was dumping rubbish. Well some might do that but I certainly WOULDN’T so DON’T presume the worst. You could clearly see they were quality items and packed with care.
Was meant to be a feel good gesture. Now I will never give to you again!
If I could give zero stars i would!
I found my couch there that I’m in love with and the staff couldn't of been more helpful, they went above and beyond for me, even took it to my place as I was around the corner. They Really do extra for their community that Iv’e just become apart of. Best Op shop in the northern suburbs, retro everything and priced really well. I’ll be back weekly:) thanks Team, especially Kerry and Rob! Xxx
Lots of items but overpriced for an op shop especially when some items are damaged and worn looking. Not much parking.
Are you an Opportunity Shop? Your prices reflect those of an antique dealer! Not much of an opportunity for people at all! Prices are ridiculous and you can thank your unfriendly, capitalist manager for that! I've been shopping at these stores since they opened and geez haven't you gotten greedy. Such a shame.
I like this place, I went in for a quick browse and ended up having to make two trips back out to my car with some absolute gems.
Huge variety, a lot of vintage stuff donated by the old generations living in the surrounding suburbs
Well organised and really affordable. Lots of clothing for 2 dollars and some great vintage stuff too. Furniture, toys, homewares, everything! Best prices in town!
