Heidelberg Magistrates' Court

Was on bail and went to court on the 15th of December, I filled out all the forms for return of my bail money it's been 4 weeks sofar and I went ther today to see where it was the told me the police had it, went to the police station and they had a receipt saying it was played to Heidelberg court, the most incompetent and untrustworthy people I've ever dealt with

I don’t like how I’ve been unfairly treated by this court. My ex filed a restraining order against me, put down his address as my own and then didn’t tell me I was supposed to go to court even though we saw and communicated frequently. Heidelberg Magistrates ruled against me in my absence without hearing my part of the story or asked why I wasn’t notified of anything. How is that fair?

My ex then went to the family court and filed without letting me know again. This time we would be seeing once every 4 days. Luckily for me the Registrar asked for proof of service. This is all because he thought the Family Court of Australia is as incompetent and negligent as the Heidelberg Magistrates. So terrible. 0 star if I could

Had to ring up multiple times. Placed on hold for 1/2 an hour before I rang them back as they don't get back to you. Overall a very bad experience and 1 staff member was extremely rude on 2 occasions I got her. I'm sure she put me on hold on purpose and was never going to get me off of hold.

A VERY DEDICATED TEAM OF REGISTRARS & ADMINISTRATION & MAGISTRATES. THEY HAVE THEIR HEADS ON THE RIGHT WAY. AN INCREDIBLE TASK WHILE FACING SOME DAUNTING CHALLENGES ON A DAILY BASIS. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY DO IT. MY PRAYERS & BLESSINGS ARE WITH THEM. AND I AM EXPERIENCING A MUCH BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE BECAUSE OF THRIR ASSISTANCE. THANK YOU ALL. MONA

If you end up here, know that you will spend hours waiting around even if your case is scheduled for the morning it will most likely be heard in the afternoon but you will still need to show up in the morning and wait for it. Come prepared and bring a fully charged phone to keep you occupied.

These people wouldn't know if truth, facts or evidence slapped them in the face. Presumably they are too busy fondling young junior staff members in the back of taxis's and uber's to care about such things. And if the rumours are true perhaps all senior staff should submit to weekly, mandatory piss test to try and clean up the enterprise a little.

This place is an absolute joke and big time fraud now even a court house. Staff aren't even educated enough. Train your registery some ethic moral they have no idea what the court process is. They are very rude over the phone and even worse over the counter. Lazy people get paid and don't even do their job. Either shut it down or teach your staff how to do their job.

Staff aren't trained properly and a big fraud place. Uneducated people work as the registry here, they dont know what the court process. Taking sides while not knowing the definition of Justice. Big fraud, not a court house. Why is it called a court house when they dont deliver justice?

The staff has no manners. Absolute garbage. Shut it down. Waste of tax payers money. Generous of me to even rate it 1 star.

Whilst it maybe an efficient Magistrates Court, it is in a very unsafe area. The local police admit to it. Something needs to be done.

It is very close to Heidelberg CBD, so you would think that it would be a priority to make it a safer place. During the day it’s very busy. It’s at night time when the area becomes dangerous.

There are fast food places nearby. So if you are in this area in the evening, get in and out ASAP.

My boyfriend took me on a cute date here for my birthday! Would highly recommend if you want to spice things up ;)

Actual garbage. I've had to go to the children's court 4 times only for it to get adjourned and I have sat for 6 hours each time. I have to go for a fifth time next month. Screw this place.

Widespread fraud and malpractice. Phone line consistently left on hold for over an hour. No interest in justice whatsoever, you are expected to wait with the utmost patience for your hearing, where you will be shown none of the same kindness, and then the door 10 mins later.
Run like an Eastern European court, or a country club for lawyers

Magistrates who issue family violence orders without even listening to the facts. Widespread fraud and corruption. Most are political hacks.

Not really a court. More a country club for lawyers. No attempt at hearings. Just kaching, kaching, kaching. How can anyone with an IQ above 30 do this sort of job?

If you want to get off an Family Violence Order scam you need to give the Magistrate more money than they are getting from a family lawyer. Going rate in Heildlberg is $ 2,500. Should be in $ 50 notes in an unmarked envelope. Otherise its 90 seconds and they hand them out like confetti. Riddled with fraud.

Magistrates are people who finish last at law school. Widespread fraud and malpractice in the Heidelberg Court.

Horrendous phone manner, hung up the phone on me because my phone cut out. If you don't enjoy your job go find a new one.

Run like an Eastern European Court. Totally disorganised. The Magistrate who issued a interim VRO against me was a complete and utter nut job.

Was so fun me and my dad decided to hang out there 3 different days. Would highly recommend if you feel like doing something different with the family
