Best (old school) fish & chips in the area. No shity feeling after eating like most shops. Get on it

I don't go frequently, but every single time I have gone they have been quick and efficient. There is parking directly in front and nearby. Possibly because I usually put in a large order, there is often a small discount or a bottle of soft drink and a few extra potato cakes thrown in, but the speed of production is what I go for. It is even more expensive on menu log so make the effort and get the full fish take-away experience. I recommend the Blue Grenadier, large and moist, with only a hint of fishy flavour.

Only accept cash, (tax dodging)
Say they are open but decide to shut whenever they want.
Ordered $5.50 worth of chips and got short of a handful.
Much better options close by who accept card stay open when they say they are open.

Probably the worst fish & chips we've ever ordered. Nothing was fresh and even the fish was chewy. I couldn't eat the hamburger, it was just a chewy lump of something that was similar to the overcooked egg and dry bit of cheese. Even the South Melbourne dim sims were inedible and injurious to our teeth!

Fantastic fish and chips!
The chips are always perfectly cooked and crunchy, and their oil must be changed regularly as things come out perfect every time.
Also love their burgers.
I go past two other fish and chip shops to come to these guys. They time things pretty well too when you're getting stuff off the grill and from the fryer, so it's all piping hot and ready at the same time.

Love this place for my regular fish and chips. Great quality, fair price and always pretty quick. They can get a little short on chips but the size of fish/potato cakes makes up for it.

This place is the best! I've been coming here for the past 4 years and every order has been cooked perfectly. Very clean and doesn't smell - good oil!
