Went for celebration of my son's birthday. Chris and Maya made it special for him with birthday song and churo on the house. Food was good and came out on time. Staff were friendly and warm. Would recommend

Disappointing experience. $100 worth of takeaway and still hungry, not a lot of flavour and the takeaway was smushed up and quite unappetising. The tacos were good and I’d probably eat in next time when they have a special on them

Yum food. We recommend: chicken enchilada, chicken California burrito, beef taco, prawn taco, pork taco and street corn.

Star deducted because we had to go up and request our order be taken after 15 mins of waitstaff ignoring us. Also were told they were booked out over the phone but walked in straight after and found 5 empty tables (however they were happy to seat us which was appreciated).

Overall definitely worth a visit.

Charged $100 for takeaway at the Eltham branch. Most of order missing main ingredients including salsa, cheese and sour cream. The entire order was cold even though ordered in-store, portion size was a fraction size of in restaurant size. The food was 1/10 and congealed. I had to cook another meal instead. The biggest rip off I’ve ever experienced with takeaway. I may as well have thrown away my money in the bin, as what I received was inedible and daylight robbery.

When I called to complain they tried to claim the missing cheese, salsa and sour cream had melted into the nachos and other meals, even though the photos I sent showed otherwise. The photo below ($15 mini nachos missing salsa, cheese and sour cream) is as it came. The sweet potato $8 taco MISSING the main ingredient sweet potato and was very soggy also shown in photo below. Avoid takeaway from this establishment.

Not the same as the Fitzroy one. Ordered via Ubereats. And they forgot my chips. Selected mild nachos yet it was extremely spicy and was inedible.

Excellent food and service. Bhavika was so helpful to choose and we got the best of the menu.delicious! Margaritas are amazing too.best in town!

My friend and I were greeted by friendly staff who were professional and knowledgeable. Our order was taken quickly by Kavithi and brought out to us by Izzy. It is worth noting that despite the absence of meat and dairy, the dishes we ordered were not lacking in flavor or substance. As a vegan, I was genuinely impressed with the range of options available to me and the overall quality of the food.

In addition, the highlight of our experience was the impeccable service provided by Bhavika, our waitress. Bhavika's patience, kindness, and sweet demeanour made our dining experience memorable. She was attentive to our needs, answered our menu questions, and made recommendations based on her expertise. Bhavika's warm personality and exceptional service were only surpassed by the generosity she displayed when offering me a complimentary dessert in honour of my birthday. The food, drinks, and dessert menus are all exceptional at Hecho en Mexico.

What a great feed! Thank you to our hostess Bhavika, your recommended dishes really gave us a taste of everything on the menu!

Have been wanting to check this place out since it opened a few months ago. It was a busy Saturday night but thankfully was just the two of us and got the last seats in the house. Quite loud inside, but thankfully the tables either side of us were respecting. The nachos and fajitas were nothing special, however the Jalepeno poppers and mushroom quesadillas saved the day. Will try again
