Heavy M.E.T.A.L (Men's Education Towards Anger & Life) Group

This program has definitely helped and changed my life around for the very better. I have so far almost completed 20 weeks and my relationship with my father, work colleagues and intimate relationships have improved dramatically. My personal perception has changed and I am going to continue on with the program more because long term things like this is needed and reminds us the difficulties we’ve had to face. The team and supporters involved will guide you and transform for the very better. Do this for yourself and you will be greatful and thankful for it.

The Heavy Metal program saved my marriage and my relationship with my kids. The program content is expertly delivered by people with real life experience and really know what they are doing. I highly recommend this program for men wanting to change and be a better husband and father.

At first, the one on one sessions and the group sessions were overwhelming and intimidating. However, after settling into the structure of the program I was surprised at how much I opened up to myself and to others.

The group is split into 2 seperate groups and usually you will go through both parts of this with the same bunch of blokes. I found new relationships forming on the grounds of support and friendship.

This program gave me knowledge and some new tools to process my thoughts, feelings and emotions which has helped me significantly throughout my personal and professional lives. I have ever passed on some of the wisdom gained to work mates, colleagues, and family members.

David Nugent and his team truly have a heart for this type of work and after a few group sessions it was clear to me how much they all care about helping men to achieve their best potentials and how safe their space is to be open, raw and vulnerable.

My time at heavy metal is something I’ll never forget, have never felt more comfortable in a situation I thought was going to be the complete opposite. I took away so many tools from the facilitators and other members life experiences, that has helped me to become the best version of me I can be.

I attended the women’s support group and learnt so much about healthy communication and relationship dynamics. It’s easy to say the investment was well worth it. I attended for a year, Learnt so much and David and the team are so skilled.
8 years on my life is completely different. I changed and was empowered to surround myself around loving, respectful relationships. I now know a lot about red flags, which I used to find attractive in old partnerships and old friendships. I learnt to honour myself.
Since then, I found my life long partner, have had two beautiful children and we have a very healthy and respectful, loving, peaceful relationship. My home is now my sanctuary and I have broken the cycle I lived in with past relationships. I am so thankful every day for the life I have now and it’s thanks to the education and basic foundations, being open and vulnerable to change which inevitably changed my life for the better!

Excellent program, would recommend this group to anyone that needs help with family problems, or men's behavioural change, I myself have been through this group and found it beneficial and helpful, in changing my behaviours and actions.

David, Brett and the other facilitators are incredibly skilled at offering the right guidance at the right time.
