The visitor Centre gave me all the information I needEd to get around Heathcote and surrounding areas with friends for boating, camping and fishing. The information centre staff are experts on the area and are always happy to talk about some of the most secret of places to the top must see places to visit. Night markets and festivals. Heathcote, steeped in Australian History with many a story to be told, it might surprise you just how old the original mining town was.
Old Historical Biulding being completely restored and steaped in early settlement history.
Walked the main street various boutique style shops, not a lot of foot traffic during the week days, but weekends very busy.

Nice town, has everything you need, maybe if they had a bypass the town might grow, as lots of trucks go through the township.
