Went there yesterday and they had a wonderful collection of things you never see and good and fair prices: will definitely be back

Great variety of genres and artists. I have now come across some unusual records or ones that are challenging to find elsewhere. My only wish is that there were a deeper used records availability. Loads of new stuff though!

Nice store.all their frank ocean vinyls are bootleg so i’d be careful.one of the vinyls sells for around $800 and isn’t pressed in the colour they had, and one has never been officially pressed on vinyl before.owner was rude, and said we “wouldn’t find the vinyl anywhere else” as if it was real.

Apart from the fact that someone is flagging my review to keep it offline, lol.
Not the friendliest guy in town.
I tried to start a conversation two times, but, the owner (?) was probably not in the mood for a simple chat.such a shame.

I've known Paul for nearly 6 years now, and his depth of knowledge and advice is second to none in the music and record space. I have been fortunate enough to learn a lot from him in the time I've known him, and I can not recommend him highly enough; from those starting their collection to those who have been collecting records since they can remember.
I have bought most of my records from Heartland and have introduced my dad and my friends to Paul. He has always gotten them what they wanted. Sure, sometimes it takes a bit of time, but he never forgets, and we can't thank him highly enough.
I would go as far as to say that Heartland is one of the very few record stores (or probably the only one) that stocks quality records without the price gauging that seems to be going on, both in shops and through private sellers.
When you buy a record from Paul, you are buying a quality item that has been curated with his many decades of experience and understanding of the music business.

Fantastic store with a really wide range of music. Fair pricing and friendly service. And a really good stoner/doom section.
I spent a week visiting different stores through Melbourne and this was one of my favourites-I had to visit it twice! I'd definitely recommend a visit and will be using their mail order service in the future.

A decent record store stocking new, used and bargains with a good mix of genres at reasonable prices.

Good variety of records and fairly priced. My criticisms would be; really strangely organised (hard to find what you're after), minimal used records and some pretty sketchy flooring! Definitely worth a visit though.

I've been to 5 record shops in Melbourne, so far. Heartland is the most laid back, unpretentious, and had the best prices. Worth the visit.

I love this store. They have a lot metal releases that chain retailers wouldn't. Great selection of records and cds crossing many geners. Worth going down and having a look.
I always leave with something after visit

For my partners birthday I wanted to buy her every Lana Del Rey album on Vinyl. 'Honeymoon' was impossible to find anywhere and I had looked on the websites of 51 Australian record stores across Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne before finally finding Heartland who had 'Honeymoon' in stock. I wouldn't be surprised if I bought the last copy in all of Australia.

Paul was emailing me updates and posted the record as soon as he could which was amazing considering I bought it around 5: 00pm on New Years Eve.

Amazing amount of vinyl that is categorised by music style. Its super easy to find what you're looking and the prices are very reasonable compared to some other stores. Oh, and don't forget to rifle through the bargain bins. You will come across some real gems!

In these days of vinyl's re-emergence as the dominant physical music medium, it's nice to see a store which still sells some CDs at reasonable prices. Lots and lots of vinyl here, too, for those who appreciate that medium more than I.

Went earlier this year (27/02/21) and had an awesome experience! A huge amount of variety and competitive if not better prices than elsewhere.
Only issue I had is one of the vinyl I purchase had a bad pressing, emailed the contact email about getting a refund but unfortunately I got no response. Hopefully after lockdown I can go down and sort it out and exchange for something else!

Very funky record shop. This is the place to purchase your imports your new releases and searched for gems It's the same owner now for over a decade. Love the place.

The owner exchanged a voucher for cash as I didn't have a turntable or CD player. Hats off to the owner. Will recommend him to a couple of mates.

Very good selection of metal very good prices and awesome limited editions keep it up. Sadly not much Megadeth or Anthrax.
