The fun fair event was really well organised. It’s a shame the balloon twisters and face painting finished up 45 mins early though.

Have been here a few times with my scout group. Lovely staffing team, very helpful with their accommodations. Bowling alley is quite rad and ‘old school’ as someone else said, with machines to input your own scores, definitely adds to the experience of not having technology do everything for you!

Lovely, well equipped local gym. The gym has a cardiovascular room, a fully equipped gym, workout rooms, a lap pool, and a pool for classes. Ten pin bowling is also available. There are a range of group classes also on the timetable. It also has a great carport and an excellent cafe next door.

Great swimming lesson, probably best in the area. Many professional and passionate swimmer teacher. The school holiday program is very nice but I just wanted to say that two of the teachers were quite rude and bossy. Their names were Deb and a pink hair lady. Please tell them to stop being mean and rude to kids. Except from this, all good.

Very good swimming program, and swimming teachers, polite and patient receptionist team, and nice manager. Place for dancing lesson is also very clean and spacious.

Have only tried bowling here. Perfect ambience, lovely people, and a lot of area to celebrate your kids birthday!

Best holiday program around. Kids swim and bowl every day. Don't forget to give your kid a couple of $ for lolly tuck shop at 4pm.

Wd went 10 pin bowling here and what a blast! The place is the same as it was in the 60s, very basic and old school, but a great time was had by us and we will definitely go back.

• 6-8am on three days each week, the Indoor Pool and Health Club are empty.
• Exercise before work without sharing machines, barbells, equipment, treadmills, etc.
• Evening exercise classes are half empty - lots of room to move
• Great membership price

Didn’t know this place existed but what a find! Retro ten pin bowling alley which is brilliantly run. Mark was very entertaining and great with my son who hasn’t bowled before. This place even has a pool and gym. Will definitely be back and thanks for the chat Mark.

A great place for kid swimming classes. Instructors are wonderful. The bathroom is clean and the design is perfect for kids to shower themselves.

I invited my sister and her two teenagers to catch up in the area as a pre-Christmas meet up. I don't want to see another movie with them, and suddenly I found out Healthway Recreation Centre has ten pin bowling, for a no-fuss price of two games for $24.80 per person, with free shoe hire!
It was so good to be bowling in a quiet environment without all the crowd and noise (too distracting). I did very well and the teenagers were so spent by the second game. It is such good value.
The place is clean, and we enjoyed some great chats with the Super Friendly and knowledgeable Mr Mark Simcocks, who occasionally coached us and demonstrated his famous backward-bowling (he is blind in one eye), as well as entertained us with his great sense of humour. We were lucky to wear the brand new shoes they purchased just before COVID (don't forget to wear or bring your own socks or sockettes). In one of my photos, with Mr Simcocks behind the counter was a pair of cute little kids shoes: I said that I have small feet and he found the smallest size they have, he was so humourous.
Bring your own water and drinks too, but you will probably be too busy to drink that much.
Some may not like the old fashioned manual entry scoring system, but that kept our teenagers busy and I really like that. Mr Simcocks showed me the motherboard and explained how he set up the system. It is amazing! My sister and I had a great time, and the kids as well. Truly recommend you give it a go. This is a great place for bowlers who just want to enjoy bowling.

Reviewing Swimming Pool area, facilities, and lessons for kids:
1. Very clean NEW changing & shower areas
2. Clear Covid safety guidelines and steps displayed at entrance
3. My kids' instructor Sonia was patient and encouraging to both my kids, but extra kudos to her for being understanding of my 4y.old's excitement that made the little one want to splash more than learn.

It can be hard to get a place as it fills up quick, but my priority is small number class as well as no distractions, so the bare bones inside pool is ideal for what we wanted the kids to do which is focus on lessons and no be distracted by water play features and other kids running around.

Have to say this business is very well run. I've had my daughter attend school holiday programs, swimming and now a dance class. My experience around the pool is that the teachers are REAL swimming teachers, not young adults just filling in time. The facility itself is in amazing condition, it looks like the maintenence is attended to at an extreme standard. Generally I've been surprised, the outside of the building doesn't tell the story within.

Best choice I made during lock down was to join Healthways Recreation Centre's streamed classes. The trainers are amazing and are really supportive of your fitness journey, they’ve helped me lose 15kgs (so far). The workouts are always fun and never the same. Would highly recommend!

It has everything you need. Nice place and atmosphere, a bit cramped and change facilities are a bit tired.

It just had an amazing renovation and the staff are so lovely! If you live around the area you can do swimming, bowling and a teenage gym!

Terrific hidden gem of a gym that's the perfect location for the locals. Has all the necessary equipment. Will definitely be trying out the bowling alley for birthday parties later on!
