The perfect Gym for people that have an awkward time (in my life) with physical injuries to re-establish their fitness and mental health to move forward into the future. The staff and trainers are understanding how an individual can climb the ladder again to fitness, diet etc. As far as I'm concerned, it's a great gym to give confidence and help move forward in life.

Had a good experience with Health in Balance and I can happily recommend them. My trainer, Dylan, did an excellent job, gradually developing a comprehensive and individually tailored home exercise program over the space of several visits which has been of real, practical benefit to me. I'm certainly much fitter than I was when I started. Dylan explained and demonstrated everything very clearly at a leisurely pace that was easy to follow. Frankly, not having been near a gym in quite some time, I was reluctant to get involved in another one. But, HIB provides a quiet, friendly and relaxed environment which is ideal for more mature fitness seekers. Much of my tuition and on-going assessment took place in the privacy of a consulting room next to the gym. Excellent communication and customer service. Thanks HIB!

I have been attending Health in Balance for approximately 5 years. Health in Balance was recommended to me by my doctor to increase my level of overall fitness after having a hip replaced. The team are very knowledgeable and were very welcoming. I was set a program of rehabilitation and strengthening exercises to improve my overall well being. These exercises (which change regularly as you improve) have been invaluable and enabled me to return to golf which I enjoy immensely. However, in 2016 I had an operation on my foot. After I was allowed to return to exercise class, the team set me exercises to regain the strength and stability in my foot. All worked a treat and enabled me to get back to golf again. I would thoroughly recommend Health in Balance for anyone wishing to improve their overall fitness, assist in pre-operative strengthening, post operative rehabilitation, fall prevention and general wellness. Thanks team for all you help over the years. I couldn't have done it without you!

Health in Balance offers a nurturing environment for people, treating every person as an individual. Even though there are group sessions, each person has a tailor-made program. The well-trained and friendly staff have deep knowledge. They apply this knowledge by continually tweaking individual programs to suit. The group dynamics are generally very strong in the sessions. Attending has been of great benefit - measured perhaps not by what I gain by coming, but more so by how bad might I have been had I not started coming and not continued to attend.

Professional service from highly skilled exercise physiologists, who provide a great level of customer service and empathy for the injured or unfit! They made my recovery from a sprained ankle seamless with their easy to implement rehab approach. Finally I could comply fully with the exercises to re-strengthen my ankle. Also great if you are returning to fitness after a break and need to consider previous injuries. I can't recommend this team more highly as they are very dedicated to what they do.

I am a Lung Physician and send a lot of patients with lung disease to Health in Balance for exercise training to improve their breathing. Exercise training is the best thing you can do for your breathing, especially if you have lung disease. Not only does it improve your breathing, but exercise also improves cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, balance as well as helping achieve weight loss and improving psychology and mood. Great specialised gym that works with me to increase my level of fitness and stamina after serious heart attack
They monitor and tailor my regime and even report back to my doctor
I have been with them for four years and is the best thing I have done to improve my general health
