headspace Moorabbin reviews
10Garbage place.tried it as a preteen and was gaslit and treated horribly.went back as an adult because i assumed maybe i just got a dud psych but nope, still very into gaslighting and invalidating peoples experiences and emotions.total waste of time.recently asked for my information on file and my psych wrote what he thought was relevant instead of listening to me.not client centred, not trauma informed at all.
Volunteering with Headspace Bentleigh for almost 2 years has been amazing to see all the youth led discussions. Not only do they ask for youth input but it's used! Fantastic service.
An amazing team of people who are committed to supporting young people and their families navigate the challenges of mental health. I have throughly enjoyed volunteering at Headspace Bentleigh, as everyone is so passionate about promoting positive attitudes towards mental health within the community.
Some great people in the Bentleigh team willing to collaborate on mental health projects for young people.
I was told by the psychiatrist who only works there 6 months in total that the side effects of my medicine will go away after stop taking them, and it didn’t now I have to live with my eyes shifting outwards while reading things up close. My case manager Sakura keep telling me it will go away and caused it to keep delaying. She also doesn’t respond to my texts when she doesn’t want to. When a phone call asked me about her i said she doesn’t answer my text sometimes and until i see her she speaks with me. She then explained in the meeting that she doesn’t see her phone when she’s off work. But she just doesn’t respond forever and that’s not because she doesn’t get to see her phone. The receptionist are nice and when they can’t get hold of the person you are seeing they don’t tell you and you just wait there and have to ask them again and again for attention.
Psychologist that I saw didn't want to listen to what I had to say and just wanted to talk talk talk and tell me how to live my life without properly helping me. Made me cry during one of my sessions by shooting down my career goals, causing me more anxiety, and didn't understand why I was crying. Stopped going back, and they never checked in to see how I was going. Very disappointing!
I only had to miss 3 appointments and Headspace were more than comfortable to stop letting me make appointments because "it costs Headspace money when you don't show up"
Pathetic company that only cares about getting paid, crappy services, got diagnosed with 5 serious mental conditions and they couldn't care less what I do with myself now.
If you're too mentally sick to even get yourself out of the house and to Headspace, then you're dead out of luck. Only the ones with supportive people in their life will get the full benefit of Headspace.
I'm 22 years old now, first saw them when I was 17 and have gotten linked in with 3 different Headspace centres, every single one stopped seeing me cause I missed appointments.
Though if you have drug and alcohol problems there's PLENTY of services that offer someone LITERALLY DRIVING out to your house and pick you up to take you to get help, maybe I should just become a drug addict as well?
Obviously being severely mentally ill isn't enough.
Absolutely crap service never coming here again after I was promised help with my anxiety issues and I was refused help
