Hayashi291 Japanese Restaurant reviews
51Class food and amazing service. Understated. Atmosphere is lacking but made up by the quality of the food. Chilled mid-week date night.
Friendly service, the food came out quite quickly. Food was delicious. The waitress gave good recommendations to help us decide what to pick.
Went for team lunch. Have a lunch menu with all meals under $20. You can order off menu if none of the lunch options take your fancy.
Iyakisoba menu
It was delicious!
I suggest the store to prepare togarashi also for additional spices
If it has sharp edges, it's worth it!
Came in here for the first time near my workplace after 3 years because of a sudden ramen craving. This restaurant always seems to be quite quiet with a fairly expensive price point for lunch. I gave it a go at the ramen, and was fairly disappointed by the quality of it. It used pretty much your standard food court ramen noodles that you can get in QV for 10 dollars, with perhaps a nicer piece of pork slice. It definitely does not justify the $19.5 price point.
That said, the service and environment is decent and they have a lunch menu with interesting donburi sets at a reasonable price that I am willing to try next visit.
Super pricey now with new menu: (used to come here weekly for Japanese. Probably won't as regular now.
Hayashi is really delicious, legit Japanese cuisine. I go for the lunch bento probably once every week. It's absolutely delicious. Lovely food.
My go to place to get sushi delivered from always! The agedashi tofu and spicy tuna roll are particularly amazing. All of their dishes are consistently fresh and delicious.
Good value lunch offerings. Service could use a little work, ordered a side that never arrived but wasn’t charged for it, only two people working that day so I let it go.
Delicious food. Great local, and good pricing. Only downside is the wait times can sometimes be a bit lengthy! But the food is worth the wait! Unsure about charging excessively for Aldi bought tea at a restaurant, but none the less - overall worth going to.
Everything was 'ok'. Which means nothing wrong but not too impressed. More a 3.5 star than 3.
We had Christmas Eve dinner with friends.
The food was excellent. So was the service.
The restaurant is well-maintained. Clean toilets.
Doesn't really have "atmosphere". I suppose you could say it's casual. But the staff do make up for that by being super nice, and helpful.
And Japanese!
Looking forward to dining there again!
Totally disappointing and frustrating. I ordered a ramen (ie noodles soup) to be delivered to work place. The food arrived - soup already in the noodles, in the same bowl. According to them, they’ll only separate soup and noodles “on request”. I didn’t realise it has to be requested because every other respectable noodles soup takeaway I’ve ordered, have always come with noodles and soup separated, so the noodles don’t go soggy. Not everyone gets to eat their food the second it arrives. The staff member who spoke to me refused to rectify the situation, and said “I’m not going to sit here and argue with you! ” So I granted her wish, I hung up.
What was even more disappointing, apart from my soggy noodles, was that the noodles they used, didn’t look/taste like ramen noodles at all. They are almost same as a Hokkien noodle. Texture and taste was all wrong in a bowl of ramen.
To be honest, it gives me the feeling that this business doesn’t take pride in their hospitality.
Foods good but wow service is bad.
Took them 35 mins to tell me that they actually didn’t have my main.
Have been coming here for years for lunch with friends. Always high quality food, reasonably priced and friendly staff.
Nice ambience and great service. I ordered the niku and egg udon. It tasted lovely and the noodles were nice and bouncy. Good portion size too. Would come again!
Food is good but be prepared to wait at least 30-40 minutes for your food. Only 1 server working. Prices are very reasonable as well….
Delicious food. Beautifully presented. Portions are generous as well. Amazing teriyaki chicken.
Food was on an average side. Sashimi was fresh and good quality. But Pork tonkatsu and Beef Nabe was a bit chewy.
Service was pretty dry and very slow. We been waiting for them about 15-20 minutes to order and not only 1 staff come to check on us at all.
Lovely experience, kind owner and very welcoming. The food is so tasty here and we would come again for sure. The price is very good for the excellent quality of the dishes. Thank you very much for the warm Thursday smiles.
