EXTREMELY FUSSY ABOUT MY CHICKEN AND AVOCADO SALAD. IT HAS TO HAVE JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF CRUNCH FROM CELERY WITHOUT OVER POWERING THE JUICINESS OF THE CHICKEN AND THE AVOCADO STILL HAS TO RETAIN IT'S FIRMNESS, WITHOUT GOING MUSHY AND THE OWNER HAS DEFINATELY TICKED ALL THE BOXES. IT'S NEAR ON PERFECT BUT DON'T TAKE MY WORD ON IT, GO AN TRY SOME FOR YOURSELF.

Poor customer service, the banana lady no eye contact to customer while ordering at all. Food was decent. Not thinking to go back to see the rude banana girl

The best chicken place on the peninsula, love there coleslaw salad I've had and friendly owner.

When I first looked at the prices, I was pleasantly surprised to see how low they were. Service was great and I had my food in a matter of minutes. The food was fresh, hot and very filling, I would definitely recommend anyone to stop here and have lunch

People with low star reviews are mad, this is by far the best chicken and chips I've ever had in my life, and I've been around the country quite a bit. Great Service, Great Prices, Awesome owner, And amazing food. I recommend this place to everyone

Food taste great, the owner is great but staff needs to be trained the same way. I get the same order everytime and have been charged anywhere from $12-$16 for the same pack. It’s also been so inconsistent with the portion sizes. Todays $16 box had quarter chicken, a handful of chips and a couple of mouthfuls of salad sitting on top of my chicken. Other times I’ll get a decent serve and actually get an enjoyable meal. It’s literally been hit and miss, todays meal was so disappointing.

Wish I could give it more stars. Always get chicken from here whenever we are down from Melbourne. Ange is a legend. Catered for our Christmas and left everyone satisfied. Chips always perfect and chicken juicy.

Absolute mad lad of an owner and food was amazing. Gave us a free chicken for going to the gym will definitely be back.

Absolutely the best chicken shop I know! The chicken is always so fresh, super juicy and delicious. The salads are incredible and the scalloped potatoes are to die for! Incredible staff, super friendly and the owner is so lovely. Definitely our go to for great food all the time. 5 stars

The scolloped potatoes were very nice and the service was efficient and friendly. But the Charcoal chicken was terrible. At just after 6pm it had been sitting all day at best - but by the dark colour of thigh meat reheated from the day before. Would have been better off at Coles their chicken has more taste.

Really good chicken and chips. Second time there and same quality. Great value as well. Staff very friendly. If you are near then try it

They have the BEST think-cut chips! This is coming from someone who is not quite a fan of thick-cut chips. The service is great, the food is great. Very happy to have them in my local area.

Most rudest experience in my life today by the older lady behind the counter, I had been standing there for over 10 minutes waiting for my chips and people who just walked in less 5 minutes after me got serviced there chips first, to have a disability and no where to sit and to be treated like that, ive been a regular going there for over 5 years! Will never be coming back

Staff and owner make you feel like family as soon as you walk in, not to mention the food is outstanding easily the best bbq chicken and chips on the peninsula.

Ange and the girls are just amazing, always friendly fast service, fresh food and amazing home made salads. Keep up the good work guys

Had Hastings charcoal chicken last night.
The chicken and chips were absolutely fantastic. But the best thing about Hastings Charcoal Chicken was the staff that served us. Although the staff and the customers had to wear masks due to the lastest Covid lockdown. The staff were positive, and helpful. Especially one of the male staff members who was engaging with the customer and generally interested in what was being said. He also finished every transaction with “ thanks for all you support” a very positive business message. Well done “Hastings Charcoal Chicken”. We’ll be back.
