Hashtag 86 Fish Chip, Burgers

Always get great food here, service is quick especially on busy Friday nights and the fish, chips and burgers are particularly good. They have a really good knowledge about gluten free and always mark the coeliac items separately in delivery, which is much appreciated!

I was the customer present in the store that was referenced in the review and corresponding reply by Ts Ra below. Please do not let this review impact your decision of going to this store as they misconstrue the situation and paint the store owner in a bad light which is not true. The reviewer in question was rude, demanding and unreasonable. I am a regular customer and am always satisfied when I purchase anything from 86. Good prices too!

Just got a chicken burger from here and couldn't eat it. The chicken was clearly refried and was dry as all hell. Plus it tasted like fish. Not worth it.
Chips are OK though.
Essentially paid $20 for some chips and a can of Coke.

I dont eat meat so got the vegalicious burger. Absolutely delicious, best veg burger I have ever had

Provided a great amount of variety. Different foods and drinks available.
Loved their hot jam doughnuts.

Ordered a small chips then another couple ordered potato cakes after me, they got their potato cakes first before I got my chips and when I did they're the size of a medium to large. Really crisp and the only flavour I can tell is oil and chicken salt. Disappointed honestly

Seems like just another fish and chip shop from outside, but once seeing the menu you quickly see how different it is. Huge variety of items, including an array of burgers. Our first visit here was good. Just got some typical fish and chip items plus hot jam donuts.

Have returned here many times since. Great tasting burgers, loaded chips, souvlaki meat, etc. Service is always very good and orders have never been mucked up.

The Good: Gimme Da Lot Burger
The Bad: Open Lamb Souvlaki
The Ugly: Getting tartar sauce instead of tzatziki

Been here twice and been refused my order to be taken due to being too busy. Strange when no one was in the venue and I didn't see any deliveries or drivers come pick up at all. Seems that by coming in to order in venue is second to online orders? Out of curiosity on the second time this happened, I decided to try ordering online and low and behold, I picked up my order within 15 mins and collected my order from an extremely rude staff member. Busy? Yeah right. Extremely rude staff, don't want to take orders at all. Average food at best.

Ordered not long before closing time. Delivery was fast and hassle free. Fish was great - probably the best I've had in the area. Unfortunately the chips were pretty bland and soggy. Would definitely order again.

The fish, chips and potato cakes are really good. Crispy, and with the right amount of seasoning.
Also the burgers are fantastic. Da Double Deluxe is going to kill me one day but damn it's a tasty burger

Always good to order but tonight hour n half wait also left a can of drink of the order which was paid for.

Batter was so thick you couldn’t see the flake or taste it, was soggy not crisp.flake was as thin as tissue paper. Will not ever go back or recommend this shop. A shocker

I had the burgers from here about a year ago and they were delicious, but I think they've changed ownership in the past year. The Something Fishy burger is not the same fish, and the entire burger looked white (even the tomato was a light pink not a red). The burger bun wasn't the same. The Down South burger is no longer a crispy fried chicken piece, but rather a chicken schnitzel. I won't be returning. Would not recommend.

Our first order from you guys tonight - had a great burger, dimmies and the best chips I've had in a long time. Great job guys - we'll be ordering again.

Hands down best fish & chips in the area. Our journey of trying them all has come full circle, back to Hashtag. Proper batter texture shows they are using right temperature oil, great chips, impressive online delivery options and last but not least very friendly people. #The search is over!
