Forgot to disable security tag after I payed any couldn’t visit any more store until I got back to my apartment and cut the tag

Kylie Wright is the staff member with the worse customer service skills. Refused me in my (customer) rights of a refund (brand new, boxed item). So I had to go into another store where lovely staff was able to assist me.
Was rude and disrespectful in front of other customers, called herself a manager. Bad and unforgettable experience, wouldn't go there again.

Thank you Lee. Today I was very interested in a latex pillow, but I only found demo models. Fortunately, Lee helped me find brand new inventory in the store even a few minutes before leaving get off work. For most people, many times they don’t want to perform services near the end of get off work because they also want to go home and feel tired. So thank you Lee for helping me today

Clean and spacious. Really enjoyed the window shopping experience.

If I wasn’t waiting for my next train I would have purchased something easy to carry home.

Would recommend stopping by this Harris Scarfe for the sales and cleanliness.

I didn’t realise they offered men’s shoes. My local store may be smaller so they only offer ladies shoes.

The old lady working on Wednesday evening with the horrible sparse eyelashes was such a rude and unpleasant person to deal with. She could not answer a simple query on pricing. She was full of attitude, scoffing and unable to comprehend an answer with professionalism and with customer service on her mind. When I walked away upset at the fact that she assumed I was asking for more discounts, she proceeded to serve the next customers while yelling out to me that she could not give me a 100% discount like I was after. If you can’t handle a simple query and get triggered so quickly, are you even suited to dealing with customers? So pathetic.

There are good prices, but the employees need to be better paid it seems. I was revising a suitcase because I needed one, and trying to put them in place again, accidentally another one fell down (not broken or anything) and I went to fix it, and one of the employees came with a super bad attitude, either I apologise she never either looked at me. In the end, I didn't buy anything, with that lack of client attention it took my desire to.
Please check your employees Harris Scarfe!

Decent departmental store where you should be able to find basics expected - not a store to shop for fashion. Often has hiked up RRP with discount tags to present a 'sale price' to give the illusion of a bargain, but I'd say the 'sale price' is worth the quality so if you're looking for something and this store is a convenient location, worth dropping in to check if they have it. Well spaced out layout and clean. Not many staff, so you'll probably have to go to counter if you have questions, if you do find someone around, they may only be responsible for one brand being sold and likely aren't able to help. Accessible.

Big store but disinterested staff. Had to wait 20 minutes at check out because only one staff member behind counter. Poor lady had to explain to customers no one else was available, while she had to replace goods a customer complained about.

Worst racist behaviour by the store manager. He had the cheek to tell an customer (Indian origin) “this is Australia! “And when challenged asked them to get out of the store and threaten to call the police! Harris scarfe tolerates this behaviour and rewards these racists with manager roles. I can’t help but to boycott this place

Went in looking for an airfryer, made a beeline for the section and found them easily enough.

Had a large sign exclaiming 40% airfryers, which given that I was looking to purchase one on the day was pretty lucky.

Besides the sign telling me that there was a sale on nothing else was easy to understand in section. Lots of product failed to have labels on them, some were empty boxes and plenty of out of stocks. Finally settled on a unit that said $200 took to front and was told total was $160.

Pointed out that was only 20% off and asked them to check after they seemed at a loss of what to do. Came back and again advised that it was already marked down and it was $160. Not sure how this equated for 40% at any point.decided to leave air fryer and go online with Amazon. Spent more in the end for a better quality unit because it was about the principle of incorrect and misleading advertising why I didn't purchase from HS and am very happy with purchase.

Pretty average and won't be back.

Dirk had recently contracted tetanus from his rusty fork. He decided it was time for a new cutlery set so off we went to Harry’s Scarf. We had such a great time perusing the various goods and wares that we forgot what we were there to do. Dirk managed to get stuck in the pillow maze.

I have recently been twice to this store, by chance, and they are so nice and helpful.
As a man of certain age, I often find shop assistants not so polite or not interesting in helping.
But both visits they have been so agreeable and helpful, especially " Karen"
I have noticed some disagreeable customers which must be difficult for the staff during these present times. For me I would be pleased to go out go my way to shop there in future.

The staff are very rude & unprofessional at this store. I got asked by their staff to show my phone to her cause she thought that I did not check in!
I understand that some people may not care about scanning the QR code, but this lady was so rude!
Please train your staff! That's absolutely ridiculous!

I went into the Spencer St Melbourne store on Tuesday 15th June 2021 around lunch time. I picked out a Tramontina/ Silver cutlery set to purchase. I was told I could not purchase it at the payment counter as they could not find it in the system. The cashier said she would speak with the store manager and have it sorted by end of that trading day. I left the cashier my phone number and requested to be called asap. Of course I did not receive any calls. I returned to the store around noon Thursday 17th. Still no resolution. I was told to come back in around half an hour to give them an opportunity to speak with the manager. I returned after, and again, no resolution. I was quickly apologised to and that was it. Staff did not offer any further options or course of resolution. A quick sorry as their eyes averted away and that was that. So, an item could not be priced over the course of 2 business days and staff who do not know what to do in such a basic situation. Do you even have a store manager in that store? If you do, perhaps a change is in order. What an absolute JOKE of a retail store!

To easy to spend a fortune here, BUT we saved a fortune too!
Staff on checkouts were very busy, but did a great job.
Just an idea, we spent around a $1,000 all up on two seperate visits, yet had to pay $21 and $25 for our two visits, yet if we spent $30 in coles we got free parking-maybe Harris Scarfe does that and we are new here so didn’t know, but free parking over a certain dollar amount would be a great incentive!
