Happy Camper Pizza

We had happy camper cater for our wedding day on 14/10/2023. Been waiting months for another follow up email from them about our issues.so I'll try my luck for a response on here! First issue which could of been disastrous is my wife the bride is anaphylaxtic to nuts so was a nut free wedding. Happy camper were well aware of this and we had chosen our pizzas to reflect this.turns out a recent ingredient change ment they were going to be putting pesto (contains nuts) on one of the pizzas.luckily my mother in law picked up on this and put a stop to it! Second issue not serious but very disappointing. Burnt pizza bases! (not just a little I'm talking charcoal) My wife and I had our pizzas late in the service because we were getting photos done and the pizzas we had the bases were completely black making them not taste very nice at all.we thought maybe it was just the pizzas we ate and a few here and there but talking to family and friends over the last few months it's quiet clear majority of the pizza bases were burnt!
In the one reply we got from the owner she said " I'm really surprised you didn't flick it back to them and complain on the spot. " Which I completely would have done If I knew the extent of the burnt pizzas at the time! Kinda seems like she's blaming us not complaining instead of her employees doing a good job. I'm sure no one wants to have to complain to caterers while trying to enjoy there wedding day! An honestly how could the team cooking the pizzas not know they were that burnt? For the money you pay I expected a lot better.

Excellent food and service at our wedding 20.01.2024. There was more than enough food, service was quick and very smooth set up and pack up at the end of the night. Our guests loved the pizzas, BBQ chicken was definitely the best. They also looked great, highly recommend on all counts!

It was such a breeze have the Happy Camper cater our wedding. The correspondence in the planning stages and right up until the day was fantastic. Our guests couldn’t believe that everything was done by two people! The girls we had were absolutely amazing and there were so many compliments regarding the food and service. I would recommend these guys until the cows come home!

Happy Camper was amazing, we had Happy Camper cater our wedding, and our guests could not stop complementing how good the food and service was, the pizza's were the best we have ever had. Before the wedding, they replied to all emails in a very timely manner and answered all our questions. There was a little trouble with the food truck arriving a little late to the venue (due to car trouble) however we were constantly updated and informed of any changes. When they did arrive they got straight to cooking the delicious food. Thank you Happy Camper for your amazing food and service, I definitely highly recommend Happy Camper. When we get our photo's from our wedding I will definitely update.

Happy Camper Pizza served their delicious pizzas at our wedding and they were phenomenal. Easy to work with, flexible and adaptable. We couldn't have asked for anything more!

Could not be happier with our experience with Happy Camper. I used them for a store opening and our customers were very very happy. The food was amazing, service spectacular. I will certainly be using them for events to come.

We had Happy Camper Pizza cater our wedding at Rocklea Farm on the weekend and we couldn’t recommend them enough. The camper was extremely clean and well organised, and totally prepared to cater entree’s, pizza’s and desserts all night long. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed all of the food prepared by them and the pizza’s were especially amazing.

I don’t think there is really enough words to describe how amazing it was to deal with them. They were easy to talk to from the very start with all the information we could ever need and the ability to reply to any questions or queries so quickly. An amazing vendor for any event you might have.

We had the pleasure of the happy camper team come to our home for my 40th birthday. Communication, service and food were all absolutely fantastic. That gelato is the best. The weather wasn’t in our favour so last minute change to plans was no issue. Highly recommend

Pizza party wedding at its finest! The happy camper crew were incredible from the very first moment we contacted them to cater our pizza party wedding at the Thornbury Bowls Club. On the day the terrential rain meant that plans had to be altered but the team handled it so professionally and we're flexible in the set up. Pizza was HOT and tasted absolutely delicious. It was an absolute hit! Thank you guys!

Happy Camper are a must-have for your wedding (or event) catering! Sonia, Remi and the team were so helpful and pleasant to deal with throughout the whole wedding process and as expected, they killed it on the night! The airstream caravan was the perfect backdrop and the food (grazing, canapes, pizza, gelato) was to die for! Our guests were very happy and we loved that HC put aside little dishes for us to have in the bridal suite away from everyone. We also arranged our lawn games with HC and they were a hit! Couldn't recommend highly enough! And if you don't have any events coming up, go taste their food at their new venue Campground Kitchen and thank me later!

Happy camper pizza catered our wedding on 12/3/2023.

While the actual food provided at the wedding was delicious, it was unfortunately the only highlight when working with this company.

From the beginning, communication was incredibly difficult. At the beginning we thought it was because the wedding was still a while away but we eventually realised that there was never an intention nor willingness to meet with us. We hoped to meet in person at the wedding site but did not even manage to have a meeting over zoom with them. As they would not meet with us, communication was mainly through email and occasional phone calls. Responses always took a long time.

The lack of communication and willingness to properly speak with us about the details of the day was incredibly stressful and provided no peace of mind on our end. I understand that happy camper may do this often, but for us, as the client, we were not made to feel confident nor calm about what we could expect on the day.

Two weeks before the wedding, after sending photos of the area as they would not be coming to see the site, we were told it was unlikely the truck would be able to fit. We had measured the area using the measurements provided on the website but were told the truck was brought with a trailer which was too big too fit. This could have all been avoided if a site visit had been done as requested months prior.

On the day, as mentioned, the food was delicious. Yet, the amount of food was incredibly disappointing. We had paid for the “all you can eat pizza” yet the overall amount was very small. The main food of the day was meant to be pizza, yet the quantity was very limited.

Prior to the day we requested 3 waitstaff as we did not want people lining up for the pizza, but we were told that they didn’t have enough waitstaff to give us because of their restaurant. They reassured us that two waitstaff was enough, which on the day it was not.

We were incredibly disappointed with the service we received both leading up to the wedding and during. We have tried calling to discuss our feedback but didn’t hear back. I understand that writing a review like this can have a huge impact on a small business but we feel that these issues need to be addressed and can hopefully be taken on board.

Happy Camper catered our wedding in their Allegra the Airstream. They were helpful in the lead up in picking out our menu and working with the dietary requirements of our guests. The pizza was delicious and there was plenty to go around, the canapes were also delicious and they were nice enough to put some aside for us as we missed the canape hour while taking our wedding photos. The truck was very cute too! Highly recommend the broccoli pizza, it was our favourite of the night

The staff, the car, the pizza, everything was fantastic. Happy Camper arrived on time and was even waiting for us to finish our group photos before setting up with the pizza truck. The staff were super friendly and my guests were telling me how yummy the pizzas were and so fast in getting them out for nearly 100 guests. The pizza variations were excellent and I just want to eat them all again. Thank you Happy Camper Pizza. You are not a regular Pizza service, you are a glamorous and rustic option that would suit weddings. So so good.
