Hancock's Daffodils reviews
7 Good variety of you want to buy potted daffodil bulbs but if you’ve come to walk through fields of daffodils you’re in the wrong place.
This is primarily a nursery.
Customer service left a lot to be desired on the day we visited recently.
We called in to Hancock's today. We picked up some lovely bulbs in pots in flower. It allows us to see what they are.
We have done this over the last few spring seasons.
The lady who served us was very helpful, knowledgeable and sought out exactly what we wanted.
For anyone whooves daffodils a visit to Hancock's in September is a highlight.
What a lovely way to spend some time & see what pretties I can look forward to planting out for a happy outcome this time next year. Thankyou so much
Just stopped by today to pick up some flowers for my better half.
Really gorgeous quality flowers, and super fair prices. My photo doesn't do them justice.
Thank you!
Visited today and had a great chat with the owner Will. Spring is a magic time in this place when many daffodil varieties available as cut flowers. Daffodils and Tulips are available in pots and as bulbs (after harvest time). Great local grower who knows his stuff and is more than happy to talk to you about the flowers as much as you'd like to. Took home some nice examples for my other half to get me out of trouble ;). Awesome prices and always love to support local community business.
Whilst predominately a mail order bulb business for the most part of the year, during Spring, Hancock's Daffodils opens its gate to the public where you are welcome to come and view their fully blooming daffodil fields. Usually from the last week of August until the end of September.
You can take this opportunity to see growing samples of the varieties of daffodils they produce and order bulbs for the next year. You may also purchase either beautiful bunches of freshly cut daffodils or potted ones to take home.
While there, take the time to suggest a name for the new variety of daffodil for that year. You may be lucky enough to not only win a gift voucher, but also have a flower named you.
Staff are friendly and informative. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area at Spring time:)
