Food was great. The seafood platter was amazing and the sashimi melts in your mouth. Great service and atmosphere. Definitely will visit this place again!

The food was absolutely delicious. However, the Riesling my daughter ordered was undrinkable - like pure lemon juice! I very politely asked if we could exchange it for a gin and tonic. The wait staff tried to explain to us what Riesling was supposed to taste like (!) and brought us a full bottle to ask if we would like to taste THAT to show us that it was the same. We explained that we didn’t want the same and again asked for a gin and tonic. She insisted that we would have to pay for the wine and I - very politely - suggested that she taste it to see what we meant but she kept trying to get us the try the unopened bottle. It was perplexing to say the least! She then asked my daughter if she was going to want to taste the gin and tonic too - this was really passive aggressive! The weirdest part was that once the G and T arrived (a shot of gin and ice and a shot glass of tonic on the side? !?) she refused to take the glass of wine away! We asked several times, even different staff, but no-one would remove it! Eventually my daughter picked it up and put it on the bar to make room for our multiple plates. It was surreal and completely baffling and so utterly unnecessary. We couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Decent food - loved the agedashi tofu and Okonomiyaki. Decent and inexpensive sake selection as well. The only fault was that they were playing American country music, which was awful. I wouldn't go back because of that.

I randomly came into this restaurants 3 months ago and have visited four times since. I’d personally say this is the best Japanese food I have eaten and the price is extremely fair for the quality and quantity of the portions.
Love the customer service and Ola that works there is truly one of the most hospitable people out there! She’ll definitely see me soon again

I absolutely love the food here. The sushi are fresh and tasty. The dumplings are crispy and tasty. Reminds me of my trip to Tokyo. Absolutely recommended. Have already planned for my next visit.

Well, I have to say, good service. However, giving out one star is too much for the food. This is not Japanese food for sure! Definitely not going back! The food is terrible! I didn’t eat what I ordered after tasting each dishes.

First time at this new restaurant last night. The food was awesome and the service was attentive. Best okonomiyaki I’ve had outside Japan! With a bit of time to settle in, I reckon this could become the best Japanese restaurant in the area.

This is the best place ever! The food is amazing, so sushi-lovers would love it. When I told my nephews and my niece that we were going there for lunch, they started to celebrate! Even if you are not a seafood fan, you should still try it. Their food and service is out of this world!

I came for dinner last Saturday. This newly opened Japanese Izakaya is pretty warm and cozy inside. Lovely people with thoughtful services.

Most importantly! I can’t help with the mixed grilled sushi. OMG.too delicious and I’ll definitely come back. It’s a must try if you are a fan of Charcoal Taste.
