Han Guuk Guan reviews
49The food is delicious. Large portions can be divided into 2. I especially like the black bean noodles and stir-fried pork. It's very good. The staff is very attentive and I love the service!
It's delicious, but if you don't ask for pickled radish, they won't give it to you ㅠㅠㅠ
I am Korean, but I can never taste Korean Chinese food at this restaurant. It's so sweet and salty, I don't know what it tastes like.
Come back quickly~
Still, the staff was friendly.
Jja jang myun had source with absolutely no pork with a price tag of $17. Quite expensive! Taste was just average. They charge $1.10 if you pay by card.this is outrageous.
Sweet and sour pork is really delicious! But I thought the Jjajangmyeon was a bit too sweet. I ate it and thought it was too sweet. I took a sip of the cider, but it didn't taste sweet and only tasted sour. I think the sweetness surpasses that of cider. I think it would be great if the sweetness of the jjajang was reduced just a little haha! (My friend who came with me also said that it was sweet last time and today too, so I guess it's not just my taste that's sweet, so I'm leaving a comment)
Food is good and portion is generous, but their prioritization needs work. Our table and the table next to ours ordered (waitress even placed docket) before this huge group even came in, but their group was served first.
A pork sirloin and a spicy seafood noodle soup are just amazing! Highly recommend this Korean restaurant.
Delicious Chinese-Korean food! The black bean noodle is a must-try! Best one ever. Also the sweet and sour pork was yummy! Portion size was generous.
Spicy seafood noodle soup with sweet sour fried pork. It’s good there’s a option half and half. The noodle soup has lots of seafoods! Taste good.
Authentic Korean-style sweet sour pork and jjajangmyeon. And friendly staff! Highly recommended:)
Tried black bean noodles, sweet and sour pork, and seafood noodle soup. The pork was excellent, and the black bean noodle was ok, but the soup was disappointing. Service was good.
I would say this place is the best Korean&Chinese restaurant as all the dishes are absolutely decilous also the amount of food is generous:)

For the record, we came in at 1: 40-ish.
I ordered fried rice with veg and soup, but no soup was served as I expected (?). Instead, a soy sauce dipping was served? (photo attached) The presentation of the dish needs improvement as well.
Hands down the best Korean-Chinese restaurant in Melbourne. Must order the sweet and sour pork and jjajangmyun. Pork was very tender and the batter was crispy and not too thick. The portions of all dishes were very generous. We had to take leftovers in a container. I've been twice in the last couple of months and the quality is consistent. Looking forward to go again soon.
Hidden Korean Chinese style food. Great dishes include jjampong spicy seafood noodles. Jajamyung black bean noodles and fried chicken.

REVIEW:
Han Guuk Guan is a cosy restaurant, which screams authentic Korean food. The menu is primarily labelled in Korean, with the descriptions the only part that's English. Photos of IU and her soju sponsorship on the wall by the stairwell, and conversations in Korean happening all around you by the patrons. Han Guuk Guan isn't trying to impress you, it's just trying to feed you a good meal.
Food is homely, and good quality. For less than a $25pp feed between 3 people, we left pretty full. I typically don't like black bean noodles, but I didn't mind HGG's rendition of it. Likewise for the boneless chicken, which I found crunchy, crispy, and finger-licking good. The stew was quickly demolished, along with the bowl of rice.
I went today but there was no room for me (even though there was clearly a table available), I waited over 30mins only for the restaurant to seat two groups who came after me (they didn’t have a booking). Just because i came by myself doesn’t mean I’m not a customer.
Tasty food. Seafood soup was spicy as it should be. Fried chicken was excellent. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to try Korean food.
