My wife and I held our wedding reception here and our experience was near flawless. Some highlights include:

- We dealt with Kylie who helped us organise the food and drinks menus, the evening schedule and all required logistics. The entire experience was easy as Kylie was really helpful, friendly and responsive to any questions we had. We were able to fully customise my food and drinks packages to suit our needs and we thought everything was reasonably price and transparent.
- Lily led the food and service during the evening and it was outstanding. All the guests commented to me during and after the event how attentive the staff were in ensuring everyone had everything they needed. As the groom, I particularly appreciated that they set aside some food for my wife and I to eat while we were busy with our evening activities.
- Our menu we created with the help of Kylie and consisted of shared entres, mains and individual desserts. All the guests commented on how incredibly good the food was with the consistent sentiment being. "this food is great, its nothing like typical wedding food". As a testament to how good the food is, despite my wife and I having tasted the entire menu a week before the event, we were still hella excited to eat all the food again.
- The cocktails at the restaurant are incredible and were loved by all the guests.
- the restaurant helped us organise cheeseboards instead of canapes which was an awesome decision. The cheese selection was incredible, along with the accompaniments including, charcuterie, jams, variety of pickled veggies (I think they were jalapenos/onions) and all the bread was toasted prior to being served!

Thank you again to Kylie, Lily and the rest of the staff at Half Acre for facilitating such an incredible event. Everyone had a spectacular night and we all really appreciate your incredible food, drinks, service and professionalism. See you again soon!

Amazing find! The food was absolutely delicious and set out in an attractive way; the staff were incredibly friendly and very eager to top our drinks. I would 100% recommend!

Best bottomless brunch in Melbourne, hands down. The food and drinks are both absolutely fantastic and the service is top notch! Highly recommend.

Our very 1st dining experience at Half Acre. We were very impressed by the food, price and service. We would definitely come back.

The atmosphere and the staff were amazing. The food however was extremely underwhelming.
75$ per person for the “buffet”.
The buffet is limited to cold toasted bread some roasted veggies and cold cuts, extremely limited for what it was. The mains were also very underwhelming.
The drinks were extra this includes coffee and tea.
Over all it’s a local cafe for the local wealthy to distinguish themselves and the 75$ is to prevent anyone outside their Socioeconomic status.

The food was lovely. The atmosphere and design of the place was top. Service was ok. Other than giving our 15min warning of when our reservation slot was up the wait staff never checked on our table. We had to flag them every time we wanted to order a beverage or ordering our main for bottomless brunch. However when we did get their attention they were lovely. A great experience.

Fantastic variety of delicious and intriguing food. Staff was beyond excellent; our waiter was attentive, helpful and fun. Also, he has an incredible memory, taking complicated orders from a large group without pen and paper- nothing forgotten. Highly recommend Half Acre. Surprised the birthday boy with a cake and candles - Thank you

The Sunday brunch was unreal! Incredible spread, calm and cozy setting. The pumpkin is next level. Will definitely be coming back soon for a special celebration.

️ feast & flow

: Brunch goals achieved at Half Acre's Feast & Flow! Nothing beats starting off a lazy Saturday with all you can eat mouth-watering sweet and savoury dishes, all served up on their open kitchen. And the best part? Their new made-to-order hot dishes served right to our table! But we didn't stop there, we upgraded to the Free Flow package for bottomless cocktails, prosecco, wine and mocktails for only $29 more! Can we do this every weekend please?

️: We kicked things off with the Fraser Island Spanner Crab Omelette, which was packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. And who can resist a pancake? The Wood Fired Banana & Brown Sugar Cream with Chocolate Sauce was pure indulgence and definitely hit the spot. But the real showstopper was the sweets selection from the open kitchen. The Chocolate and Tahini Brownie - a match made in dessert heaven!

We were here for my daughter's 13th bday. Generally to say place is nice and food is good. When I booked the place I mentioned my daughter birthday, the day we finished dinner here and we saw the staff send a plate with happy birthday to the table next to us. My daughter was a bit sad that the staff didn't do the same thing for her. Overall the place is good.

A beautiful sunday spent at half acre with their 'feast' special, a $70pp lunch buffet.drinks are extra but on the must less pricier side compared to most restaurant and bars in the city, and they were delicious anyway! The feast buffet was exceptional, different to your usual buffet thats overwhelming with different cuisines and dishes.this was perfectly balanced, with a running theme of woodfired on all items.pick from a range of woodfired vegetables dishes, as well as salads (dont skip the cos salad!), breads, and simple meat dishes like roast lamb and salmon (this was wow!). And the desserts.that brownie, most fudgey i have EVER had! Absolutely worth the $70 considering you can top up your plate as many times as you like! As for the venue - beautiful! Like a farmyard barn, doesn't feel like youre just outside the cbd! Very rustic, welcoming and friendly - just like the staff! Who were very attentive and hospitable (and well dressed might i add!). Cant wait to return for their special rotisserie tuesdays or steak thursdays, more great deals! Thanks half acre!

Was part of a larger party and went with the set menus. Food was very good would give 5 stars but it was served a bit independently bit of corn then some cauliflower on its own, again it was very good, I'm personally not a fan of dishes served independently like that just plonk all the food so it can be eaten together.

Half Acre was a surprise hidden away in an industrial area and barely signposted. Great steaks and vegetable sides. Tasty smoky food and good service.

One of our favourites when we visit Melbourne. Great food. Outstanding service. Great atmosphere whether seated in glasshouse or bar area.

Food cooked over rotating oven and very good selection of everyday food cooked right. The items that always delights - the fire roasted cabbage with goat cheese, corn, zaatar bread, steak. The duck (fats need to further rendered), bara requires further tweaking. That said, still a very good experience and beautifully set up glass house. A plus point is it's near enough to cbd but not as near to get you stuck in traffic jams.ample street car parks is definitely a bonus.
