Haidilao Hotpot Emporium（海底捞火锅City店）

Wow the food here was awesome.very good service by human and robots.good atmosphere and cant wait to return to Melbourne to visit here again.awesome.

We were contemplating to rate the experience between 4 or 5. Ended up with 4 because two reasons:
1. The M8/M9 Wagyu served that wasn't up to the standard (See photos of both full-size and half size meat quality comparison). KAI ended up pointing the odds out and got the cut replaced. Well done, mate.

2. The purple rice had been empty throughout our dine in. Few people cleaned up the dessert station, but there were no refills.

On the other hand, JOHNSON elevated our dining experience to 6 out of 5 rating (one extra rating for the goodie bag). Not only did he look after our needs, but he exceeded our expectations with his mandarin. Well done, buddy.

The most fun meal in Melbourne. Compared with the Great Ocean Road, I prefer Monopoly and other projects to bring me happiness here. We watched the ramen show, watched Subject 3, listened to the birthday song, and ate the free watermelon. The family traveled back to China in an instant.

Store is clean and tidy. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Was blown away by the high quality service as well as the quality of the food. Will definitely come back

Music is too loud, very uncomfortable and can’t have conversation with people who dining together, otherwise I would give 5 stars

The taste is the same as the domestic ones. It is worth mentioning that Pepper's service is excellent. When we wanted to order songs, we immediately released the TFBOYS playlist, so touched!

Has a good environment and atmosphere, and special activities to win the gift. At the sometime, good service specially from Yiwen Huang. She makes my day today.

A reservation was a must; otherwise, you will be stuck in the long queue. We love this hot place, especially now that they have one in the city. The service was impeccable as always. We've enjoyed the food every time.

There is a young lady at the front desk who has a great service! Will definitely come again next time!

Had such a fun time at Haidilao. The food was really nice and Jingyi Zhang, who’s in charge of our sitting area was so patient and thoughtful!

Ms. Sheng Yongle's service is very warm and thoughtful. The shrimp rolls are delicious. I will come again next time~

Came on a Sunday night with a group of friends and their children. Service provided by our section's waitress Pepper was cold, disinterested and honestly - a little aggressive. She is also seen to be mean to other colleagues when they make mistakes (i.e. Those bringing in soups that are hot/delivering dishes). Either sneering at them, rolling her eyes or whispering to them something mean in Mandarin language (we know it is something mean said because the facial expression from the colleagues always looks worried/angry after she talks to them).

This kind of bullying should not be tolerated at environment (work/personal). Also, watching this makes customers feel incredible uncomfortable. So much so that one of our friends personally checked on the staff to ensure they're okay.

Food options at the sauce counter is also much less as compared to the Boxhill branch. Fruits were also yellow and did not look fresh.

Finally, there were 'performances' during the dinner session. A mascot for kids and one more of the face changing act. However, only those sitting in the middle of the restaurant were privileged enough to be able to enjoy this.

Those sitting on the sides/corners would not be able to enjoy the performance. This was a huge let down as the children were waiting patiently for the mascot and never got it. If performances were to be provided, this should be done across all areas. Not just one section of the restaurant. Shouldn't all dining in customers get the same experience?

Overall - disappointing to say the least. We've been to HDL branches in SG, Msia, Taiwan, Melbourne and HK. This is by far - the worst and most disappointing one for all of the reasons above.

I had a great meal, the waitress was very beautiful, her service and attitude were great, she specially asked her name to be Sheng Yongle, and she helped us roll bell rolls and shrimp rolls very seriously! !

Food is amazing. The service here is incredibly good. Jingyi Zhang served us while we were here, so polite and made me felt welcomed here. Will definitely come back again to the city branch

Xiaomeng's service is very good and very enthusiastic. The dishes are perfect as always Very fresh

Had the absolute best time here! Super fun atmosphere. Pork and chicken broth is to die for. Amazing condiment bar, fresh and delicious ingredients. Easy and fast ordering. All the staff were amazing especially Pepper our waitress made our day. So friendly, attentive and nothing was ever too much to ask even going so far to then the music down for me in our area because I’m sensitive to loud noises. Will definitely be telling all our friends to come back here

Food was the best and service was 10/10 Xiao Meng was excellent to us and was so lovely really took care of us

Have visited Haidilao all around the world and this one is as good as the rest, amazing food and service, the Mala soup base is incredible and it’s a must visit if in the area
