Hagen's Organic Butcher

Very nice selections. Would be nice if there would be quail or quail eggs, or silk chicken range.

Wow, Hagen took over an established butcher in Beaumaris and boom prices went up 30% to 50%. $102kg for fillet steak is ridiculous and $45kg for chicken. The quality is not even that good. So lucky we had a few other butchers in the area to choose from.

I have been getting Hagen's delivered since 2020. The service has got increasingly worse. At the moment I am waiting on half the delivery that didn't arrive on Saturday. It was supposed to arrive today but the tracking has it arriving tomorrow. I can't get hold of Hagen's via phone and I am extremely frustrated with their service. This is on top of multiple orders with broken eggs. You would think the delivery people would realise there is a problem when the eggs are oozing out the bottom of the box. There have also been times where the meat count is wrong and I have contacted them to say they have given me too much or not enough. The reason I stayed with them so long is the meat quality is really really good.

Where to begin.
Not only was this the best meat that I have ever received, but the gentleman behind the counter that gave it to me was a delight. Was very knowledgable about barramundi fillets and helped me pick out chicken liver. Keep up the great work Jason or Jordan. Legend! Hoo Roo

Courteous service and the best quality meat in a super clean store with great COVID-19 protocols

I’ve been getting deliveries for a couple of years now. The meat and seafood is delicious and the service is exceptional. I look forward to our weekly delivery which is always in the delivery window. I love that you can read up about which farms and the people the produce comes from, knowing you are only eating the very best and clean goods. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I have been to both Bentleigh and second time at the VIC market. The quality is honestly the best I have ever tasted. Yes, it’s expensive. However, this is the price you pay for organic meat and poultry everywhere you go. The only thing that is not certified is their pork and obviously the fish as well. HOWEVER, the ora king fish is the most incredible fish ever! So delicate and delicious! Will continue to purchase from here and recommend to anyone who is looking for a certified butcher or just after high quality meat and fish. (I haven’t purchased their fresh produce, perhaps another time)

The pommy bloke in this joint is constantly in a happy mood.even if im absolutely useless in describing what i want.the other people there are really kind too but the pom seems to be the most people-orientated.they've got a heap of really good mustards there like the real special english kind.the meat they sell there feels like some real gourmet food.all their stuff is home-made and tastes absolutely divine.i go here every time im nearby to get some meat.

Meat products are good, but not the veggies from their online shop.

Ordered their 2 Person Veggie Box, either the quantity or the quality were satisfying. Reviewed on their website directly, instead of publishing my negative comments, the customer service contacted immediately and organized a replacement for free which was appreciated, however, the replacement was of the similar quality.

Don't understand the reason Hagens keeps adding stale apples to the box along with no longer fresh iceberg which is supposed to be eaten raw.there are so many other choices in season. What's the point for customer to pay extra for organic veggies and fruits if they are not fresh?

Well sad to say but so disappointed and l don't accept the response that l received from Dave and l will not be shopping with you anymore.its just not organic stocking fruit and veg next to an organic fruit shop.
Why? Meat not selling? Maybe drop some prices on your meat and you will sell more!

Dave and the team at the Bentleigh store are amazing. Always happy to have a chat and make product recommendations. All the staff say hi when you enter the store (even if they aren't serving you) which is really refreshing, it makes you feel like a valued customer. In addition to the wide range of meats they also have a curated selected of cheeses, milk, butter, sauces etc to complement the meat products. I'm also a fan of the sausage rolls, delicious!

When Hagen's opened next to the organic fruit and veg shop I was happy to be able to buy organic meat and fruit and veg so close together.
I was upset to see Hagen's stocking fruit and veg and after voicing my concerns they have not changed.
Hagen's is working against another small business not with it and that is why I will not be returning.

Organic fruit and veg just around the corner from my house! I love how convenient this location is - you get all the market goodies without traveling too far from home. David is always very helpful too. Thank you Hagens!

Good on you Hagen for stocking Veggies! Since the Paterson Organic next door have changed all their staff it went down really bad! The team before were pationate and friendly. Another owner who wants to make money without the passion.

We live on Patterson Road and have become very spoilt after tasting the quality of the meat at Hagen's. Dave who runs it is extremely knowledgeable and is always passing on great new recipes. We absolutely love this place.

I look forward to my weekly visit to Hagens. Friendly staff more than happy to talk about their products, and so they should as I've never had such good meat from anywhere. Their sausages are second to none as are their marrow beef burgers. Never had a bad bit of meat from Hagens. They are the best!

I'm a semi-regular customer of the Hagen's Bentleigh store. (I used to buy from their other stores as well, when I lived more centrally). The quality of their meat is consistently very good. I like everything these guys sell, especially their pork. They also have some good St David brand dairy products (depending on availability). The staff have always been terrific. This is the first place I think of when I want to buy proper meat, poultry.

Great communication, hassle free delivery, reasonable prices, but most of all, the animals that are feeding my family are treated with respect.
