I was a person who suffered from addiction for the better part of 15 years, it was a slow progression of how addiction can manifest it's self, the last 2 years of my using that slow progression turned into a fast whirlwind. I was constantly going in and out of institutions causing more damage to myself and those people around me. I came into Habitat when I was 28 years old, scared, frightened, hopeless and angry. Through process and giving myself time and space I was able to piece together my life one step at a time, not only was I able to gain tools to cope but I also learnt life skills like how to cook, clean, make my bed and do my washing. I stayed at Habitat for over 6 months where I was able to learn the value of giving back to the community and Habitat through there transitional program. When I left I volunteered I studied and gained employment. I have worked here for 3 years and have became the rehab manager and now I can help those who are seeking it. I can proudly say I have stayed clean and sober for over 5 years and life has never been better.
Habitat gives clients the space to learn grow and understand themselves through the program and the 12 steps

I thankGod for habitat therapeutics- this place transformed my life in ways I could not have begun to comprehend when I first started this journey. I walked into, just wanting a way to stop the pain, to not use drugs, to be freed from such deep psychosis. - it successfully supported me to achieve this and so much more- learning skills to deal and manage big emotions, face fears, learn how to cook, clean and garden, learn to interact with humans again, gain respect and love for myself and others, and gain freedom, peace of mind. I feel so blessed to have been given another chance at life. It's available to us all if we're willing, one day at a time to make a commitment and follow through with different actions. It's not a easy journey but boy it has been so worth it. I truley thank every single person In that place, all had such a impact on my life, patience, kindness- I was loved back to life

Habitat Therapeutics saved my life. Prior to to making my way through the doors, I had been in custody, homeless and had my children removed from my care. Habitat provided me a safe, caring, nurturing environment to explore my behaviours and triggers through educational groups and the therapeutic care model, while also giving me the space to heal through the other groups they hold and one on one counselling with the best counsellor I have ever seen. I completed the full 90 day program and went on to do the transitional program. Habitat supported me with my court hearings, my child protection requirements which was extremely important for me. The support from staff and management was of the most highest quality. I left over 4 months ago, have a home, my children back in my care and am still engaged with the 12 step fellowship. One thing that has been really helpful for me, is that even though I have left the rehab, I still receive support from them and feel comfortable to be able to just call them up to check in, I still feel apart of the community which is very special. I would recommend this program to anyone and everyone! Habitat is not catered for just one particular demographic, addiction etc. I shared my journey with people from all walks of life and suffering different battles/traumas. Everyone is treated based on their particular needs, I believe this is why it’s program is so successful. Thank you Habitat, I have not picked up a drug/alcohol since I first walked through the doors!

Disgusting i was only talking to the person on the phone and he began blaming my father who has never purchased me alcohol and or drank of being the reason i drink. He needs to be fired and il be following up.

Edit- the man clearly stated my father was the problem. Disgusting behaviour, all because i asked if he was allowed to visit me as im a teenager.

It's fair to say that Habitat saved and changed my life for the better! The intensive 90 day program caters to all addicts and alcoholics alike and treats not only the addiction but the whole person aswell. After completing the 90 day program I was accepted to stay on and move into the transitional program. Which includes a bit more freedom, whilst still having the safety of the rehab environment whilst you are able to seek employment, look for housing and transition slowly back into the wider community. The staff and workers at the rehab never failed to meet the mark in all areas catering to each individual clients needs in a professional, punctual and caring way. The Habitat also is a 12 step fellowship based rehab that makes compulsory clients attend local AA and NA meetings to help individuals further their Recoveries. So if your an addict or alcoholic who is struggling and is in need of professional help to treat your addiction but also learn the tools to cope in everyday life. I highly recommend this place and am so thankful for how it's changed the course of my life! Habitat ️️

This 12 step rehab was foundation to my recovery. It not only helped me begin my journey of living a clean & sober life, it also integrated me back in society, out of isolation and shame, we had so much fun on weekend activities! It gave me so much for my personal development and I learnt alot of positive things about myself and my capabilities. Group cooking was really cool too. The support workers were fantastic and available 24/7. It linked me to the mental health teams and support networks that I personally needed and as ongoing support. Highly recommended you commit to the 90 days program and work it because it does work! ️️

These people only care about money… stay away! Not to mention you cook and clean just another way for them to rake in cash… also just got blocked on Facebook for answering some questions people asked about the place. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

The staff at The Hab may have the best intentions at heart but I have been there twice now and have seen people with severe mental health issues been told when they arrive they have to abruptly stop taking their antipsychotics which is DANGEROUS. In hospital settings they always taper you down off of medications. Everywhere else I have been, has always practiced safety measures to take you off of medication if the doctor does not think it is suitable. NEVER abruptly. I felt extremely suicidal and had to self discharge today for my own and others safety. All I wanted was to complete my stay at rehab. I also find it unfair that others are allowed to take suboxone and there are different set rules for different clients. I'm safely at home and have not picked up. Jim one of the managers response to my early discharge was "you'll be drinking in three days" thanks for the encouragement.

Before coming to Habitat id lost everything and was miserable, with their program I learnt how to live life on life's terms without drugs and alchohol, a year later I'm still clean and sober and have my life back plus so much more, the level of care here is second to none

I have been employed by Habitat Therapeutics from day one, giving life and love back to humanity is the kindest gesture one person can give to another. Unconditional positive regard, regardless of who you are, where you have been or what you have done, When you walk through our door you have a genuine chance to walk back out 90 days later the best version of yourself and rebuild your life. We are not miracle workers, you need to put in the hard work, we are here to ensure you are safe and have the love and encouragement you require. ️
