GV Hotel reviews
57Had the sticky pork belly and was delicious! Very tender and juicy, meal took 30mins to come out, seating was comfortable and good atmosphere. Prices were very affordable.
Great hotel, nice inside, pretty good food. Very friendly staff. Probably the best pub food in the town.
Friendly relaxing atmosphere, a great place to share a meal. Excellent quality food at competitive prices. Nice variety of cold beer on tap.
Great taste, great range of food fantastic cook totally recommend Chef Les Austin food, second to none in Shepparton
Staff were good, the beer very refreshing and the Brown Brothers 1888 Shiraz lovely.
However the roast pork was dry, tough and I left some of it. Was it left over from lunch.
The vegetables were tasty.
Chef Leslie is awesome. Fresh food (no frozen rubbish). Chicken schnitzel, was delicious. Looking forward to coming back!
You should not have to pay $3.00 extra if request mashed potato instead of chips No other pub does this.
Cheap lunch, but awesome serving and well presented. Easy access to parking, front and rear. Will definitley eat here again.
Nice food for both the kids and adults and good generous sizes as you would expect in country pubs.
We will go back again when we are back in Shepparton next time.
Good $10 lunch menu plenty of options and a good size meal friendly staff tasty food what more could you ask for even couple pool tables to use after your meal with a cold drink
Amazing place to have food or drink. Staff is excellent, very friendly. I was served lunch even though I reached there 5 minutes after lunch was over. I had fish with salad and chips which was fresh and very well prepared and cooked. My compliments to chef and staff. Merry Xmas and happy new year.
I have eaten at the GV three times now the first two times were below average I thought third time lucky, but that didn't eventuate I had dry chicken schnitzel with very runny mushroom sauce, which tasted like a cheap gravy with some mushroom pieces thrown in overall dissapointed it's a nice Hotel pity my food wasn't up to standard.
Great place to meet at reasonable meals and drinks. Also went there for a travel expo was very informative. Thanks GV.
Menu has gone down hill over the past few years with the food seeming to resemble a tired effort
Parma huge size $23. Nice chips and salad.
Roast Deal with Entre Soup and Veggies was a bargain although the Roast was little hit and miss- some was perfect.some a little dry, but for $14 can't complain.
Lovely service!
Watch out for the $5 dessert cart that comes around!
Had a lovely quiet evening catching up with a friend. Its a Sunday night afterall. But when the desserts trolley came out - that was a wonderful surprise - and only $5 each. Often find the GV Hotel too noisy and busy for my liking - but tonight was just lovely and the staff very accomodating. Thank you.
Good place to go to when people aren't trying to start fights with each other which is a rarety lol
