Guzman y Gomez - Moonee Ponds

Pretty disappointed. Came here and realised I’d made a mistake to not remove guacamole from my food as I’m allergic to avocado. Asked politely if they’d be able to not add guac as my food hadn’t been made yet, was told “it doesn’t come with guacamole” so I, puzzled, said okay thanks. Then a young girl handed me my food and said “here’s your order! No guac! ” with a smile. I thanked her, went home, opened my food and everything had guac in it. How can someone say that to your face and lie about it? Disappointing service and a waste of $30 as it all had to be thrown in the bin.

Longest i’ve ever waited at any of these restaurants. 40 minute wait for a burrito and a burrito bowl. Food arrived cold without the extras we ordered. I normally love this chain but this was ridiculous!

Pretty awful. No taste. Relatively pricey. Small portions. Not planning on eating here again.

Honestly don't be another business to pull out of Moonee Ponds district guys, your reviews ain't that good, and I can make another negative one if you want, get your act together or you won't last, Moonee Ponds has a great word of mouth going on, give value for money, and do it fresh, not a microwave, Domino's lasted only 2 months, they were useless, opposite is The Burger and Frozen Yogurt place, they lasted maybe 6 months, so its a sign, do it well or save your money on rent.

Absolutely horrendous. Got 5 tacos, barely any meet just lettuce.

Would highly not recommend ever again.

This is too slow. I live in the apartment complex above and came down to pick my order as I received a message saying my order is ready for pick up.

It has been 30 mins since I received the message saying my order is ready and I'm still waiting.

Don’t come here if you are in a rush. It’s unpredictable.

I was the only person waiting to be served, and I waited far too long. Then the food took even longer. Communication was non-existent. Pretty disappointing experience.

For quick easy and healthy this is a great stop. Nice addition to the area, good mid week eat. Friendly staff too.

GYG is one of my fav. This branch initially promoted very well. But few points I have noted always including my order for today. 1. Sometimes food quantity is less then usual, I pickup ordered cheese fries couple of times and they were literally half and not crunchy at all fully soggy. I have many times ordered with Highpoint delivery and even after 15 minute delivery time they are in good condition. 2. I mostly order lunch almost daily here but Too much wait time during lunch time 12-3pm even when not much crowd. Saw only 2 staff working and other 4 staff gossiping at cash point. Plz understand office people get 20 min lunch time including ordering preparation and eating.
I hope manager will improve it. Thx

Whoever is in charge of adding the black pepper needs to calm down. Take some deep breaths, maybe a quick vacation, and come back when you’re ready to add a reasonable amount.

Thought I’d try this place. Pulled beef taco was so cold, not even an unsatisfactory lukewarm, it was as if it had never been cooked. Absolutely hate when you wait ages for your food (pick up) and it’s cold. Chicken burrito lukewarm which was also disappointing. First and last time I eat here, what a ripoff, the food belongs in the rubbish bin.

I get GYG at least 3 times a week, usually i go to Highpoint or Braybrook branch, today i tried Moonee Ponds branch, the quantity is definitely less than the other branches.

Awesome that that have opened in Moonee Ponds, service and food was all great, just note they have limited in store dining. Would be great if they had more or bigger tables even if outside.

Waited more than 25 minutes to pickup app ordered food.

Messed up place

Went in couple of days after opening day and i was really disappointed by the quality of the food compared to other stores, my chicken burrito had barely any chicken and was 90% rice and beans.

Have ordered delivery 3 times now and 2 of those 3 times have been delivered the completely wrong meal. Absolutely useless. Whoever is making sure the orders are going to the right pickup drivers needs to be replaced.

We visited on opening day.
Burritos were on special at $5 and coffee was free. Food is good. Unfortunately the vegan option is breakfast burrito no cheese, no egg, which leaves little filling. Would have been nice to have some beans added. I loved the coffee and atmosphere is great fun.

Visited for their opening day for $5 burrito bowl. I ordered grill chicken bowl, decent size and yummy. Service was also very quick and friendly. Hopefully they keep up to the standard after that and will visit again.

Really friendly, fast service and really great vibes. Food lost a star because there was just too much rice stuffed in the burrittos.

The 5 star reviews are definitely fake. We love Guzman y Gomez and this is by far the worst food we've ever had from this franchise. We both got an enchilada and it's no exaggeration to say there was less than 30g of meat in each of our enchiladas. Who in their right mind wants to eat a wrap stuffed full of white rice, carrots and beans. Their website claims a chicken enchilada has over 50g of protein, false advertising by this franchise.

Do not visit, biggest waste of money.
